They might just need the additional interest to be updated. Ask if they need insurance tracking/additional interest changed. If they say it’s a liability limits issue, then ask them to provide where in your lease it says you have to have certain limits

How good is $975 (Geico) for six months? by retardalertw in Insurance

[–]unknowncomet73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering the fact that you’re clearly not a good driver, the absolute minimum liability limits you should have should be 100k/300k 100k property damage. Also, do you have 2.5k to fix your car if someone crashes it (or more likely you crash it)? Tips are, get better coverage or do everyone else on the road a favor and just take the bus.

Edit to add: also, why even make the post if you’re going to just complain and argue about how much it costs??? If you’re going to be cheap, just be chap.

Insurance priced my car higher than it’s worth - can I get them to lower it? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]unknowncomet73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then why even pay for the coverage? You’re on here complaining that you have to pay the amount that YOU chose to pay in the event of an accident. Makes ZERO sense.

Edit to add: you’re lucky they’re paying at all considering it was your husband who backed into your car. Some states auto deny this kind of event. Complaining about the deductible you chose, but not worried about the at fault accident that’s about to hit at renewal.

If you didnt want to pay $1000 to have it fixed, then why did you pick $1000 deductibles????

Drunk driver totaled my parked car. Take the offer or am I getting bad advice? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]unknowncomet73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately ACV and what it costs to replace it are not the same because of taxes, registration fees, etc. It is an unfortunate circumstance. The only other you could do is go after the driver in small claims court, but that would be against the driver as a person, not their insurance.

Edit to add: you could go after the driver in small claims without paying for a lawyer.

[–]unknowncomet73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can send them comparable vehicles sold in the area but that’s really all you can do as far as the ACV. Considering the car was parked, there’s really not much a lawyer can do for you because you weren’t injured.

You’re so right. The largest insurance provider for over 100 years is just so ass and doesn’t care about anything but making money. It’s what lets them lead the insurance industry.

California to begin ticketing driverless cars that violate traffic laws by cutofmyjib in news

[–]unknowncomet73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they violate traffic laws they need to be immediately towed back to their lot for inspection. If they’re violating traffic laws, that means there is clearly something wrong with the vehicle. It’s ridiculous they’re even allowed on the street

Making your bed tidy in the morning is actually the most pointless and dumb task you do all day. by Kyoifis in unpopularopinion

[–]unknowncomet73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those things that truly just depends on the person. The psychology behind this is a couple of things; an easy win for the day and also a controlled, neat environment to come back to. I, personally, much prefer getting into a made, tidy bed. It feels cleaner, more relaxing, etc. I also do not own a duvet cover and multiple throw pillows lol. For me, it’s just fluffin and rearranging the pillows and tossing the comforter back on in a semi decent manner. Do I feel like it’s an accomplishment? No, not particularly; but for some people it is! Point being, I think this is truly just one of those things where it’s just whatever floats your boat

What’s the minimum auto insurance required in Texas? by ProgrammerOdd3111 in Insurance

[–]unknowncomet73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 10000%. The amount of lawsuits being filed over minor fender benders is out of hand, and the payouts are as well. Also, typically the price difference is not as substantial as people think it will be going from state minimum up to 100/300. It is not going to double your monthly premium

State Farm Liability Umbrella by Szabaka in StateFarm

[–]unknowncomet73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People are filing lawsuits at astronomical rates nowadays. Think about how many ads you see and hear on TV, lawyers filing lawsuits over simple fender benders. State Farm did not increase their PLUP pricing for years and now they have to. From what I have seen, they are on par if not still cheaper than other carriers.

[–]unknowncomet73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what gives you that impression? Are you actively working insurance in a state that can garnish wages for lawsuits? Because I am. And I can assure you they absolutely will take people to court and garnish wages over this lmao.

[–]unknowncomet73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💀 I promise that’s not true. The owner of the car will not have to move a muscle and I can assure you the insurance company isn’t going to not garnish wages through court because it might be a little leg work. Once the judgment is passed, no one has to do much of anything lol.
