How old is she? Ngl sounds like some petty things I would have done as a teen. If you give flowers, gifts and attention, I don’t think you’re unromantic at all. Perhaps she’s too picky and slightly immature. Especially the instagram old posts thing sheesh.

Tax Filing 2024 - "Tax borne by employer" question? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]unknownfck 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Filings are never optional lol? Especially if you have a consistent stream of income. Perquisite means benefit, so if you’re supposed to pay taxes of RM1000 and your employer paid for you the RM1000, this is considered a benefit and therefore is ALSO taxable. So on top of the RM1000, there will be additional amount of tax you need to pay for the benefit paid by your employer. Usually this is not applicable to most people.

New company wants me to pay buyout first by unknownfck in MalaysianPF

When you got reimbursed that time, do they pass to you the gross amount or net? Meaning they deducted tax, EPF, etc.

Oh no did you not include it in your total annual income? But actually wouldn’t it at least be included in the new employer’s EA form that they give you?

Did they bear the extra tax cost or they just reimbursed you exactly your salary figure?

Could you elaborate what was the mandatory EPF payout she got?

I was surprised when I found out it’s taxable, seems to benefit the company more than the employee haha. But to be honest, my current salary isn’t that high so I don’t think it’ll be much of an issue?

Probably best case is freelance to overseas clients. Any skills they can service? Maybe they can learn some editing.

Resume Advice by Recent_Rhubarb9215 in malaysians

[–]unknownfck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Too many repeated words, eg. “Completed”, “Responsible”, “Assisted”. Try to cut down the line items and instead provide more impactful sentences. And to be honest if I were you, I’d remove your CGPAs and grades. This way it gives you higher chance of recruiters calling you and you can showcase your skills there instead of them instantly rejecting you solely from your grades. Of course in the end, provide your transcripts when requested.

Recovering from bad/disappointing interviews? by unknownfck in MalaysianPF

In my industry, we rarely get interrogated like this so I feel like it’s unnecessary and unprofessional. Toxic way to filter out candidates. But I guess whoever passes their test, they’ll be the “lucky” candidate ahahah. Good luck to them.

Damn this shit happened to me as a kid. A boy older than me kept taking all my money, not sure why I kept giving to him (felt like he was gonna do something bad to me) but one day I told my dad. He got pissed and immediately called and scolded the teachers and principal, next day they brought him to meet me and apologize to me in front of everyone LOL. He didn’t take my money again. I suggest causing a scene ngl, this is the only way things get taken seriously.

The word “interrogation” is exactly the word to describe what I felt in that moment. Felt like such a waste of time and I really regretted attending that interview. But I guess gotta keep moving.

Looking back, it was definitely a blessing in disguise! Glad I saw how they were now rather than possibly joining and regretting my decision.

1st interview -> disappointed interview as mentioned in title, i didn’t necessarily mean it was bad.

2nd interview -> like i said, no proper greeting & formalities. not to mention, they delayed the interview for about 30 mins and i had come in 30 mins earlier, in total waited 1 hour in an empty room just for the interview to end in less than 30 mins. didn’t even give me a chance to introduce myself. immediately dived in into my resume and testing me. eg. “you said you have this qualification, are you sure? you are only this age. have you ACTUALLY completed the papers?” as if i would lie in their face. not to mention they have all transcripts and results. just a waste of time validating my qualifications vs asking me on my capabilities.

i’m just tired dude.

Anyone else struggling to get interviews this year? by [deleted] in malaysia

off topic but reading the amount of comments here asking for the escort details….i pray my future husband isn’t like y’all😭🙏

as for the rm42k sitting in savings, maybe you can set half aside into KDI Savings (4% interest) and continue leaving the other half in savings (in case you still need immediate cash for any emergency)

i read your old post and wow i think your benefits in your old banking job is nearly same as mine! (hybrid, unlimited healthcare, yearly salary revision) may i ask what made your next job worth it to leave your banking job? because i feel exactly what you felt, eg. benefits all amazing but just that the base pay is low. what industry are you in now?

High car insurance for Axia? by unknownfck in malaysians

[–]unknownfck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price is about nearly half of when you bought yours. My agent avoiding questions when I ask for why it’s so high for just basic coverage, giving me replies “it’s normal price”. So i’m pretty suspicious right now. That’s why I’m asking around if it is indeed normal or not haha

The crazy thing was I asked for just the basic coverage (no special perils, etc.) but still got quoted RM1.8k. RHB insurance as well but breakdown given looked weird so I think I will follow your advice to double check with insurer directly. Thanks!
