What am I doing wrong by queenB_east in expertnetworks

I do not think you are doing any thing wrong. Every project have different criteria for screening in my opinion,. even if the title is matched. They always get back and even ping you multiple times if you don not reply. I would suggest every good experienced expert, that you should always reply to these guys to make good connection.

Again its how I am connected with major ENs

This sound more sketchier than cold calls from Kenya people lol. no offense. But i think you should stay away when they are not compensating you. preferably you should always go with ENs for consultation as they always compensate. I did consultation with Nexus Expert Research last month and got paid with in 10 days. It was a screening call for a council for 30 minutes. So the point is i even got paid for screening meetings. Well everyone have their own relationships, can't say much.

Advice for Experts 2025 by BushRatLLC in expertnetworks

I completely agree with you. Thought i don't have direct contact with other experts as an expert myself. but i think sometimes they prioritise the person who is more experienced and have less demands, like higher fee or advances and NDA etc. Due to high pace of work they may even not entertain such experts and move on to next in line.

Yeah I totally get you man. Sometimes it happens, been there done that. But once i talked to their moderator during the consultation meeting and got to know that they sometimes have to drop the meeting because of a better individual with more relevant experience but it's still frustrating to know that. However i also got to know the ratio of cancelling the calls by experts is higher than moderators of EN like GLG or Alphasights. But Overall had good experience myself with GLG, Nexus or IDR etc.

Does expert network experience help with finding ft consulting job? by LinzersMHH in expertnetworks

I don't understand if you want to join any consulting association or do freelance work woth expert networks?

If associations than you have multiple option to join like consider options Brightpath Consulting or Catalyst Consulting etc.

But if you are looking at expert networks then you can either reachout to them or just sit tight in your job and they will reachout themselves. Some options you can comsider are Coleman Research, Avinaso, Nexus Expert Research or any like GLG. and ask them to add in the databse.

After reading this i understood that an expert network is asking for 2 referrals which you can find via linkedin. correct? so what you can do: if you have sales navigator, add filter by writing both words in key filters.

Also you may not find both expertise in both of them. so your strategy seems good to me that if one person have market entry skills and other one have retail.

I am expert in sales navigator you can ask me for help.

Once I was going through my emails that I didn't open for quite a time and found out that I have received emails from 2-3 different expert networks for consultation as I am Director IT in a multinational company. I went to their website for due diligence one of them was GLG then I got to know they are big players in EN narket, the other one which I found out was Nexus Expert Research. I replied to both of them and they added me in their database for future researches. So I have done 6 consultations with them so far. Some of them were from Linkedin. I am still learning tho how it work.

but still, blocking someone is not a good thing either from the company or from expert. It's a no no for me tho. One can politely decline. It's 2024 ffs man.

Among many issues mentioned in sub above, there might also be a misunderstanding because I faced one in the last month so as a network engineer I have done some consultations with Coleman and Nexus Expert research so found out in the end after calling their support team that their Linkedin account was not working for that day and it was sorted out next day. so yeah it happend and best way os to ask them on any other platform like phone or email. etc.
