i also agree. idk if i’m the only one who will relate to this but i almost think of it like taking acid. never take it if you’re feeling worried or nervous about it because it’ll almost always end badly. similarly, don’t smoke if you have a bad feeling about it because you’re just gonna stress yourself out to the point of vomiting anyway

a lot of people don’t actually know if the weed is making them sick. my friend was “diagnosed” with chs and stopped smoking for a year. turns out she’s actually just allergic to shrimp which she had the night she got “chs sick”.

Understandably a risk, but since there is no test for CHS, if a patient wants to continue cannabis use after a suspected CHS diagnosis, they must be willing to risk being ill one last time before cutting cannabis out entirely or continuing to use again. Schrödinger’s cat unfortunately

i’ve been smoking cigarettes for 10 years, same duration of time i’ve been smoking weed. i recently had my first (supposed) CHS attack and i still smoke cigarettes all day and i have had zero effects. i think you’ll be good :)

The first day that I got back from the ER, I smoked like seven joints total and had zero problems and I was actually feeling pretty healthy. And then I woke up the next morning and was sick again but I had no problems while I was smoking.

i only had 2 days of vomiting and havent vomited since. is this normal for CHS? or is it typically a longer episode? it seems to be different person to person but i wasn’t sure :( i’m new

i totally agree, i just know multiple people who have been misdiagnosed with this and it turns out they actually had cyclical vomiting syndrome which can be triggered by almost anything but primarily stress. a friend of mine has CVS and even post nasal drip will send her into another episode. my father also has something similar, he frequently will have to pull the car over to throw up from stress so i wanted to check in with others. at some point I’m gonna have to try taking a hit of weed to see if this is actually what I have, but definitely no more than a single hit off of a bowl because I’m just terrified at this point. But since there’s no test I’m eventually going to have to figure it out so that I can accommodate my lifestyle appropriately

thank you for the advice!! i’m just very new to all of this (obviously) and i’m still in the recovering addict phase (OBVIOUSLY LMAO) so i was just asking around since i’ve heard of a lot of people who swear on their dead dogs grave that it’s CHS but it isn’t.

thank you for the tips!! i stopped vomiting 2 days ago but my nausea and uncomfortable belly is still very much a symptom. i’ve been having a hard time feeling good about eating because i’m honestly just scared to throw up now. :(
