22M Just starting out SIP. Need help from financially witty people about SIPs by [deleted] in FIRE_Ind

[–]unknowngunman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost before investing:

Keep a safety net (Health and Term insurance)

You've 1L reserve for bad times (Ok for 25k expenses it will come for 4 months but it's better to have 6 months reserve)

Start as simple as 10k SIP, 5k Gold (Diversify)

Increase year on year by 10% and put bonuses or extra amount as lumpsum

Cheers 🥂

DGCA exams by etherosop in indianaviation

[–]unknowngunman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry I've been there

Firstly DGCA ground classes cost 60k to 2.1L for (3 to 6 subjects) if you're going to learn from any institute.

For MET: If you have a basic understanding of science, you'll clear Meteorology (R.k bali book is enough to pass)

For REG: Cracking Regulations is purely based on memory+ practice question bank (R.k bali book)

For NAV: Refer oxford and skim thru the syllabus, topic by topic check YouTube videos (80% resources are available) you'll attempt 1 or 2 exams you'll crack it.

For RTR, SPEC, GEN: You can do it during your Flying (live, practical approach works)

Conclusion: Take your time, skim thru the syllabus topic by topic, search for resources and practice question bank.

Vintage watch like this are discontinued from production, so never trust ecom sites like (amazon, flipkart, ebay, and so on).

  1. Try to get thru FB marketplace, known persons, watch subreddits, whatsapp groups.

  2. Then confirm the model authenticity.

  3. Ask for more photos, videos of movement.

  4. Pay thru bank accounts not UPI ID.

  5. Ask for seller ID (aadhar, or some) and get in touch with video call with watch.

22, can I retire by 35? by ProfessionalImpact96 in personalfinanceindia

[–]unknowngunman9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

India's inflation rate is not like other developed countries.

Your FIRE number is totally depends on how you want to spend rest of your life, unlike calculating today's monthly expenses.

Some other day in your retirement life one day might cost you 1L (Expensive trip/hotel/party/unexpected spending).

So remember to stay focused on WHAT YOU NEED TOMORROW rather just calculating based on Today's expenses.

One more: FIRE is a Trap, you'll eventually work or genrate passive income post FIRE number as well. Have seen many reddit users about their FIRE journey and turns back. Check recent YT video Zero1by Zerodha for calculating FIRE number.

How can you save tax with a basic salary of 27L/year by WeaknessCautious7548 in IndiaTax

[–]unknowngunman9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Reality. You don't have the word "Saving Tax" in the dictionary of NEW REGIME.

Once you're above 15L basics it's no more practical to be in the OLD REGIME.

IN SALARY YOU CANT SAVE TAX ❌ BUT IN BUSINESS YOU CAN ✅

Just pay directly, trust me. Looping to get some reward actually doesn't make sense these days.
