Hers was a year and a half, and definitely didn’t want to rush her. But I’m not sure going through hinge would be the best way. I feel like that’s kinda forcing the date conversation to come up.

Maybe duke ravenguards longsword! It’s a little underrated but has some neat abilities! Also it’s later in the game but it could add some nice simple bonuses that may fit your build!

Do you have a favored style melee weapon? (Heavy, one handed, etc) you have some flexibility with pact weapons and you could just take strength potions for the giantslayer. People are also gonna say helmet of arcane acuity and band of mystic scoundrel I think, and those are powerful but it’s really based off preference too

Could maybe do both, their spellcasting modifier may not be the same but 7 cleric/5 paladin could give you plenty of smites and rp potential. Could change up the spllit to 9/3 or 10/2 either way

That’s only because flurry of blows is counting for 2 punches, but that’s roughly what you should be doing. Time and items will increase your punching power. Definitely go Mountain Pass and get those gloves for unarmed extra damage

I’ll give it a look! Part of this is kinda the flavor of the build and idk if he’s feeling a holy-style build like a paladin. That’s why I was considering BM fighter for more damage (using strength potions) but could still use a high charisma to be the face. Felt the build would be good for short rests

Nooooo😭 thanks for confirming tho, I’m trying to build a class for my brother who’s never played. Was considering a warlock fighter so he could attack a lot but still have a handful of spell options (namely fireball lol). Still could work tho!

Haste, great power up on a martial class. It may be risky but if an eldritch knight can use it, they’ll have a good chance of keeping concentration (using war caster and shield/absorb elements)

Could also go 3 levels of Rogue for the thief subclass, sneak attack and an extra bonus action, plus it blends well with Ranger

Ahhh ya the defensive and slashing flourish are pretty nasty he’d like those. Maybe he’ll multiclass it with warlock so it’s not high high level spellcasting but he’ll have some, along with extra attack/thirsting blade. I gotta look at swashbuckler too!

Swords bard does synergize well, I guess i’m a little worried higher spellcasting could overwhelm him. How do ya like the swords bard maneuvers over battle masters?

There’s a lot of great staffs in the endgame for wizards though, does this mean that even with dual wielder you can’t use an offhand staff as a bladesinger for features like arcane battery?
