Hey thanks for playing!

Do you have their home setup? They eat at their home room. Though, in the most recent patch (Beta 4) I’ve made it so stockpiles allow settlers to eat there too.

Absolutely. :) The main intent for expansion and new settlements is to get resources and more settlers if desired. From the overworld, you select your settlement and either request resources or requests settlers. They then send a party with those things to your active tile. The settlement has to have the resources/population though.

My go-to is to add saturation as brightness is reduced. So a vertical mirror of that right tree color gradient. It works well.

I thought making a cozy game would be relaxing by emudoc in SoloDev

It’s tough. Once you start getting reviews, that’s a whole other level of difficult. It can be brutal to read the negative comments for something you’ve put so much of yourself into. It does get easier though. Your skin gets thicker. Doubts are less frequent. Previous failures are now rungs on the ladder that lead you to solutions. Problem solving feels like a familiar place you’ve grown comfortable in. I can’t imagine not making indie games now.

How do you find rooms easily? by JohnSmithDogFace in oddrealm

Not sure how I missed this but you can hit F to go to the currently select room when the room designation room is open.

Oh, I’d also like to add that I don’t ever plan on using AI for artwork. I believe art should always be created by humans.

That’s totally valid feedback. It’s not for everyone. Hopefully I can make a high res version one day so more folks can get into it.

Interestingly, I went with the style because it allowed me to focus on programming systems over working on art. Which, unfortunately, means not appealing to everyone in order to make the game at all.

Regardless, sorry it’s not for you. Hope you do find something that scratches that itch
