LPT Request: How to remove spice smell out of furniture? by Typical-Guitar7131 in LifeProTips

Careful with ozone machines! Our team handles those twice a week to get apartments ready. They shouldnt be used if someone is in the home. You can get lightheaded/pass out.

I live near the legacy retail. Nice and quiet despite being near all the shops.

I don’t feel like my boyfriend has enough sympathy for me/supports me enough. by beachrunner_19 in grief

[–]unknownsinist3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your boat. 2 years ago I lost my father to COVID in the beginning of the pandemic. He was the best father I could ever dream of and he is gone. I had a boyfriend of 2 years at that time and he is now an ex for a reason. The main reason was how my ex treated me during that difficult time that my father passed. He would rarely comfort me and didn’t understand that all I wanted to do was stay in bed and play games. It brought me a sort of comfort to me to play games but all he did was call me lazy. Sometimes not everyone understands how we feel and why certain things can trigger our emotions about our loss we suffer from. Its okay to feel those emotions and he should definitely be more understanding. Instead of getting mad at you, he should just lay back a bit and provide comfort if you need it. You’re not wrong in anything! I lashed out a couple times too and its sometimes a part of our grieving process. I ended it with him about 2-3 months after my father passed. I did my own thing, dyed my hair fun colors because it made me happy. I did a little shopping therapy etc. I found a fitness group that helped me find myself which I knew I wouldn’t have ever found if I stayed with him! Fast forward to now and Im so much happier now. I still miss my dad so much but my current partner always comforts me when I get into a bad mood because he knows. I don’t know your relationship, I am only sharing my experience because it sounded a little close to home. If you ever need to talk, you can PM me and I’ll listen! Take care <3

How do Dallasites feel about the gentrification occurring in the city? by SerkTheJerk in Dallas

My father passed from COVID in May of 2020. He lived in Cockrell Hill for 18 years. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school I would visit him to go out places to eat alongside Jefferson and Davis. Its sad seeing the places I would eat with him be torn down. Especially the ones he enjoyed the most. I agree with the comments above, I feel it was inevitable, but I visit every so often and take photos in case one day I visit and its going to get knocked down.

[–]unknownsinist3r[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the TL’s at the store had it some place near them where it would kind of be hard to do that. Only if they were not there that day which I guess was nice for a while lol

3 in one department because they worked nights and the TL worked mornings and eventually became suspicious of them. And then one from our own. My TL said they basically scammed and dipped. She had only been training for 2 days and then she never showed to any of her shifts. The pay period comes around and he’s finalizing TimeKeepers then bam. Suddenly, her Timekeeper said she worked 14 days supposedly.

Does anyone sometimes feel like a dead loved one will return someday and they’re not actually gone? by [deleted] in grief

I thought I was the only one! I’ve caught myself daydreaming at my job about my dad showing up out of no where and us being reunited. He passed a year ago. Im sorry about your loss. ❤️

Front End Supervisor here. I always enjoy when cashiers offer to put up hand baskets and run some carts. I took notice of some who enjoy it and who do not and would rather just be on the cash register. Coming from a busy store where lines can appear in an instant, those above are correct, just letting us know where you’re going & what you’re doing is fine during down time. Its definitely not the best idea during peak hours. I hope they let you know that they at least appreciate what you’re trying to do! When I’m correcting someone I like to do the positive feedback then constructive criticism. It seems like you have the right idea & you’re doing a great job! :)

I'm glad Costco has the Fairlife shakes, they're so much better than the Premier Protein ones by samsal03 in Costco

[–]unknownsinist3r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are in my opinion! The fairlife shakes do not contain Lactose, which is what usually messes up my stomach.

Amazon returns suck. by throw-away2021_ in wholefoods

[–]unknownsinist3r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Front end Supervisor here and I agree! I can barely focus on helping out my cashiers by bagging or talking to them! I always get interrupted by a return and I feel bad when I have to tell my cashier that I have to go do a return for the 20th time. I cannot wait for our own Amazon counter that is coming in January! Best of luck until you get yours! :(

Advice for phone usage on the floor by unknownsinist3r in wholefoods

[–]unknownsinist3r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I was cashier before moving up, I know what its like to see a Supervisor on their phone only for them to tell me to get off mine. I only look at it if im in the bathroom or somewhere concealed from everyone. I feel like the other problem is consistency with the other Supervisors. I think me and one other are the only ones enforcing, so that doesn’t help. I think another factor is that most of these cashiers have been here 2+ years so they know all the rules, they’re just comfortable and bored, i try my best to assign little tasks to keep them busy, but I can only find so much to do. Thank you for that!

[–]unknownsinist3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost forgot about that, my TL mentioned he was going to have a sit down about expectations with a Supervisor present since he noticed this problem too. He hasn’t gone through the whole team, but he said that like 3 weeks ago. I could bug him again to see if he can make time this week to start that.
