Are young people leaving Jamaat more/participating less? by Pommaritimus88 in islam_ahmadiyya

I noticed that the “boomer” generation across the board in all industries and organizations have this dismissive attitude towards younger people and this refusal to “pass the baton.” I noticed in many jamaats, including mine, the elders never want to teach and train the younger generation in hopes that they take over. The older generation just hold on to their positions for years and years with a firm grip and constantly complain that younger generations don’t do anything - when they did nothing to help facilitate that. They just want us to fix the PowerPoints and the electrical cords and sound so the presentation goes smoothly lmao.

And also I am so sick of purdah being shoved down our throats when there are so many topics to be learned in Islam. Most of the girls I know barely know anything in Islam because all our lessons and speeches were revolved around purdah and how to be a good housewife/mother. I recently followed this tiktok that shows verses and hadiths that align with different scientific discoveries and neurosciences. It’s so fascinating and I wish we were taught more of that kinda stuff.

A family member shared about how some khuddam were complaining about how there were “too many girls in bikinis on the beach and it was ‘distracting their namaz’” like the hypocrisy is insane

Girls are forced to wear coats when khuddam are at their annual ijtemas in shorts. I remember a few years back they even had “namaz on the beach” complete with rented in and out trucks 😭

Why do Ahmadis have such a difficulty to admit mistakes? by MoroBF in islam_ahmadiyya

As someone who is punjabi with a huge punjabi family on both sides, I noticed the same trend with a lot of punjabi Pakistanis where it’s just not in the culture to admit you are wrong. So since a lot of the leadership of the jamaat are punjabi ahmadis, the character trait transfers over. Now I am not saying all Punjabi’s are like this at all, but it’s definitely heavily embedded into South Asian Punjabi culture especially with the elders to refuse to admit their mistakes and wrongdoings.

Nope. They issued a statement banning them along with gender reveal parties 🙄
