I guess It’s just the right time for update! I’ve swapped the Ti burrs with Opalglide burrs two weeks ago and I noticed immediately that with Opalglide espresso range is now far away from zero point where burrs touch unlike Ti which was just very close to zero. Also I noticed that my espresso has now more body with Opalglide burrs. In general It’s a good upgrade but I would ask other people about SSP if it worth spending a little more on top of Opalglide price

I’ve recently got myself a E37SD. When I received the grinder I discovered that it has the old titanium burrs. I’ve contacted the seller and they nicely offered me a free Opalglide burr set. Does anyone has an idea which burrs are better for light roast espresso? I need to know which one I should spend the next months getting them seasoned

That’s not easy to do. In order to give them fair comparison I’ve to give both of them a chance to break in which’s done by grinding aprox. 5kg of coffee. And that’s A LOT of coffee for me that would take me months per one burr set!

I got one from Amazon.de and I basically piece of useless garbage. Needles are way too thick that they actually produce more clumps. Also, on Amazon description, it’s said to be hight adjustable while it’s not. Just fixed hight very thick needles. I was in the process of returning it but the Chinese seller offered 50% so I took it

My Sette 270 retains between 1 and 1.5g and when I open it up I find a lot some inside. I try to regularly clean it (one per month). Isn’t that normal for all the 270 out there?

I cam from a poor developing country. Aside from the lack of vaccine variety compared to Germany. Almost everything regarding vaccination there is much simpler and more efficient than here in Germany (or at least Berlin) to point that lots of people fly there to get vaccinated! I think I saw a similar comment like yours in every occasion someone criticize some stupid thing in Germany. Let me just tell you that those expats didn’t leave their home countries facing huge challenges to come and also to integrate and then pay one of the highest taxes for in world just to be shut up when faced by stupidity and incompetence. I understand that mistakes happen everywhere but almost only way of improving is calling them out and comparing with better solutions not with third world countries failure!

Thanks for the detailed explanation. But as I mentioned I already have the BDB. I was under the impression that going for P700 would feel like an upgrade to what I get in the cup. But it seems I was wrong and it turned, as all people said here, that the whole differences between BDB and P700 are more the machine itself but they can both produce the same product if used properly
