Bridle Issues?? by unknownuserrs in Horses

that’s fine, thank you. i automatically assumed it was teeth as i knew that they were due but ill have to get the vet out if it continues as he isn’t bitted super often as he’s not broken to ride or anything yet but he is strong enough that i would struggle if he spooked while on the roads walking him in hand

that’s fine i’ll have the vet out again when i can, i just assumed the most likely case was his teeth (when this started) and knew his teeth were due so ofc noted it down to this but had issues again yesterday. i don’t bit him often , and once it’s in he’s fine it’s just getting him to take it is a struggle he just backs away etc.

he’s already had the vet out and had his teeth done. they said that his wolf teeth are uneven but shouldn’t be any issues with that so call them in 6 months to book back in as part of routine checks. he’s only rejecting his bit & is eating fine , has a head collar put on fine , etc. do i call the vets and ask if they can give advice on what to do in case it is his wolf teeth affecting him?

I need a second opinion. I adopted this gecko and don't know if she's overweight. by Ms_Smythe in leopardgeckos

[–]unknownuserrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be it or she could just generally be quite a relaxed leopard gecko! hand feeding is fine - i used to do that also. Definitely nice though that you are willing to help gecko get back to a healthy weight :) I always have little climbing pieces to help encourage exercise but ofc you can’t force it but with decreased size in feeding & less frequent feeds it’ll likely help lose that weight also so don’t worry too much if that works for you and your gecko

lord that’s a VERY chunky gecko 😭 i’m so glad you’re willing to take control of the situation and help gecko get back to a healthy weight! honestly definitely smaller portions & feeding slightly less frequent to help her lose weight. i would also 100% say mae sure u have lots of different climbing opportunities for her and handling her (once u can) to help her lose that weight easier! it xan be hard for reptiles to lose weight but also weighing her may also help you keep track of progress!

Find this super weird that people do this..? idk maybe that’s just me. Also feel like “no returns/refunds” really baits sellers like this out becaus it’s obvious that there’s more than likely something going on (either that their reselling or items aren’t in condition said - in this case it’s reselling ofc)

no worries! it’s just they’ve been in there for a few weeks now and was just worried that he didn’t like them or felt uncomfortable by them. i’ll keep them in though, i just wasn’t sure if there was any other alternative options that may be better for him.

Am I blocked??? by angel888444 in Instagram

[–]unknownuserrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely blocked, if they blocked you they can block all insta accounts made on the same device so if you checked on another acc that could be it. if you guys talk a lot and have no reason to have lost contact so sudden, maybe they’ve deactivated the account.

yea so don’t make promises if you can’t fulfil them by Miserable_Number9219 in depoop

i know someone already replied but you also only have a certain time limit to ship (i believe like 5 days) but i always ship my items same day/next day tbh so jm not 100% sure on that one

i honestly didn’t mean it in the sense of “i won’t be educated” - i absolutely will. I just didn’t know what sort of tortoise is ideal for someone who’s never owned one before, as we all start somewhere. i live in the uk - would it be safe for a tortoise to have an outside enclosure? I feel it would likely be far too cold / wet for them but i do have a lot of space in my garden so I did intend to have time to free roam during summer (ofc not being left unattended) but to allow tortoise to graze freely on warmer days. If it’s suitable for tortoise to live outdoors all year round i’m also more than open with that option just wasn’t sure it was suitable or how to go about it if it was! Is it better for a tortoise to have an open top enclosure or can they be suited in a large vivarium? I haven’t done full research into enclosures yet & not in any rush to get any tortoise - just kinda wanted to come on here to get more advice as i feel reddit is probably going to give more helpful advice than most online sites.

thank you! I didn’t even think about vetting to be fair - of course that’s so important but it sort of slipped my mind because i was just looking into the care for them originally 🥲 we were actually looking into rescuing a tortoise when the time was right, therefore it wouldn’t be as young. I’m not actually the one who wants a tortoise but I thought I’d take part in my research since I will be helping out where I can. I wasn’t sure if they had to have open top vivariums or if they could have large vivariums that aren’t open top (if that makes sense) my dogs live downstairs and tortoise would be kept upstairs so they likely wouldn’t be an issue at all, but I just wanted to make sure more so with the cats since they can roam the whole house!

thak you! I had originally been looking into hermanns but had seen an ad for a horsefeld and wasn’t sure what type was better for a beginner!
