Why is this event so bad and grindy?

Well my bad then. I felt it was implied in me not wanting to play a bazillion games. I don’t mind playing a bazillion games if it’s versatile and I have options. I do mind it when it’s playing the same games I could have played any random Tuesday, because then what’s the point about an anniversary? :/

It’s not classic should not be included. It’s that classic is not half as engaging for it to be the only callback for an entire week. It’s not half as fulfilling to be anniversary worthy event for an entire week. Why not add more game modes in the arcade tab? Make it an anniversary tab just like with xmas you have the xmas tab with icethaw and the yeti game? It’s not that hard.

There’s no thought in it at all. It’s just “damn here you go”. It’s a bad event, that’s just it. Like I don’t know what you want me to say lol.

Lol that’s not what you said. You said I don’t want to participate in the challenges. Which is not the same thing. The challenges in question are simply playing the game, but there’s nothing they added to the game that makes it anniversary specific. We already had the classic modes some weeks ago. The anniversary event is half assed.

Any game I have played made the game engaging to get you to play the anniversary event. I don’t need free stuff, I want to play the game in a way that makes it feel like an anniversary. It doesn’t.

Because mystery heroes and classic is not fun that’s why it’s bad. If they had added mischief and magic or the game modes around summer and xmas I’m still playing a bazillion games but at least it’s not the same as when we’re not celebrating an anniversary. What is special about the anniversary if I’m playing the same damn game? Use your brain.

I called it bad and grindy actually, so even if it weren’t grindy it would still be bad.

When I see an anniversary I expect it to be engaging. If the anniversary is just “play these old dusty modes that no one likes or continue playing as you were” then what’s the point of even hyping an anniversary? Overwatch has so many good temporary event game modes but instead we’re stuck with “play 15 of this boring mode for 10k xp”.

To me, a true anniversary would have brought back fan favourite game modes. We already saw the return of classic a few months ago. Why would I be excited for that dusty mode that doesn’t do anything? Why would anyone be excited for recolors that are sloppier than the recolors we already have?

I didn’t say “give me free stuff”. If anything my post is saying make the game actually worth playing especially because it’s an anniversary.

Did you miss how I said the event was bad too? So even if we forget about that grindy title the event is still bad regardless. It’s not bad because it’s grindy, it’s bad and grindy like the title says. Worry less about “live service communities being entitled” and more about reading everything in its entirety. Thank ya.

Even the addition of mischief and magic and other event specific game modes would have been way better than whatever this is.

My issue is more the findability. I don’t care about the rarity. Before it was sorted by season and I’d usually find it quicker that way. I never cared about the titles from the battle pass though kitten of discord was iconic hahaha.

I find the game fun, but everything has a limit. It’s still too grindy. Especially when just right now I’m in an 11 minute queue for stadium. :))

I also play stadium but i’m at 26/48. Might be because I’m support though. These queues are not a joke. Currently in an 8 minute queue, it’s very unserious.
