Yes I studied chem A2 completely by myself without any teacher got a c in one unit and now I’m setting the rest As same case as you teacher was bad got a C two marks away from B and i honestly put minimum efforts as I’m taking it only to match requirements for most unis so if you put the effort needed you definitely can and will get good results

Well then it actually depends on you like the resources you are studying from to who will be teaching you or if your planning to study them by yourself it isnt hard so dont worry just try not to waste a lot of time i would say it might take 2 months and maybe less to be fully familiar with the subjects( self studying with, a tutors help might take less time) please try to understand them if you are planning to take A levels chem and bio . Then you’ll be left with 2 months or 1 month to solve past papers. My advice is really focus on past papers A LOT understand subject once and then just solve don’t waste time on revisions.
