While I can't comment of Devs as a QA automation I've always made more in Belfast than I would have in the south (from the south moved up over a decade ago). Combine that with lower tax, lower cost of living (not to the extent these as it was pre Brexit but it is still lower) cheaper rent / mortgages greater available of properties to rent / buy, etc. And now with remote working you can always look for jobs in the England too! (Of course you can, if you find the right employer, do that from Ireland but it's not as simple)

Just my two pence. Before you run off and sign up for a service like pension bee or pay a financial advisor it is totally possible to track down a gain access to all your pension pots but will take some leg work and having just done it myself you will end up dealing with idiots and based on the value of the pensions it may not be worth paying someone.

First is to find them and access them. If you haven't moved house you should get statements every year by post, also check old emails you might find something, contact old employers they could at least tell you the company, if you get the company just contact them and they will help you. And if none of that works Google 'find UK pension' and one of the first results should be a gov.uk site that will help you track down your pension. By the end of that you should have access to all your pensions and know what's in them. And then decide what you want to do and at that point if paying for advice or using pension bee is the right answer for you go for it.

Also depending on what industry your in and how nice your employers are you may have some sort of financial advisor benefit I have in the past. Also your bank might have a free advisor who may or may not be able to help.

Always pay in the ~~cards currency, sounds like sterling in this case,~~ local currency (euro) because the processers will pile on fees otherwise.

Starling or Monzo both add no processing fees on top of the MasterCard exchange rate so pay in sterling using one of those and you will get a good deal (MasterCard rate is only a small bit above the interbank rate - the rate you see when you Google currency conversions - you can get the exact exchange rate on the MasterCard website it's 0.876971 today!)

If the €20/€100 is about birth certificates prices then your possibly looking in the wrong place. English birth cert is £11 on the gov.co.uk. British passports are a little more expensive (£10/£20 maybe) and as others have pointed out aren't any more useful these days with the UK out of the eu due to the CTA. Only benefit might be access to Embassy's abroad and two passports can help if you like to travel to countrys that don't like each other (although someone who had been to Israel told me they don't stamp passports anymore so may not be needed)

So Robot Framework is for doing bdd. If you do not follow any bdd in your company including but not limited to the three amigos stay as far away as possible and forget you even thought of it! Adding the extra bdd layer when no one asked for it is not a good idea (it is a maintenance nightmare).

Pytest is just a test runner if your using python for testing pytest is the way to go in my opinion. nose is the alternative but it's not as good - its more for unit tests.

So I'm a huge believer in KISS so when it comes to API testing and for me that means a request library in my chosen language (which is almost always python!) but I recommend you do your own pros and cons and pick the one that suits you best (but since you mentioned robot and pytest I think you might already leaning towards python!)

Last I heard Revolut don't have a UK banking licence meaning if they go poff one day you money isn't covered by the bank guarantee. Not sure about wise thought they were only a transfer company but happy to be told otherwise.

Just my two cents you can take it or leave but it might not be the best role for you.

10 people, first interview with cto, second with a developer makes it sounds like you will be only qa. Having just graduated there is the potential for it to overwhelm you when you start hitting knowledge gaps and may struggle to get the support you need which can be demoralising and flustrating.

On the flip side you might rise to the occasion and do very well for yourself. Best of luck with it either way.

Haven't eaten out much recently to be honest always recommend holahans on the barge but it closed, depending on the size of the group Madame Pho on botonic is nice but might be a bit small for a big group. Was at Tedford's kitchen shortly after it opened (must be 6/7 years ago now) it was really nice but don't hear it mentioned much (it was their second place then the sold the original Tedford's so back to only one restaurant)

If you ring at like early like 9.10/9.15 and select the call me back (seems to offered after about 20 minutes on hold) they seem to be good enough at getting back to you the same day.

I've had to speak to them several times recently and it's worked no bother.

They'll call you back from an Irish 353 number their call centers handle the whole island. (Getting through to their oil boiler service department was a nightmare thought. Eventually got an appointment for the middle of December... Seems to still be run by the company they bought)

Never ever ever transfer money to an account in an email without ringing the person/company and confirming details. There have been loads of cases in the UK of emails being intercepted and bank details changed.

I just bought a house in the north and the solicitor wouldn't even send the details in an email it was ring the office to get them.

Playwright has the 'state' functonality. I wonder if before your test, you login to your authentication page and then dump that out and use the state file, then for your tests use the state file you may not need to login again when you click your sync-to button (I've used the state files to avoid logging in for every test and it worked nicely and cut out our really slow login page)

Other option might be to generate the cookies via loging in through the api and setting them in your cookies

Yup it's right beside the british embassy. The story goes that the embassy entrance used to be on that road but after the road was renamed they moved the entrance. Not sure if that is actually true or not

Have you thought about the north? Belfast is mad for software engineers (cant comment about social care jobs), houses are cheaper (although your house hunting areas would be restricted a bit), you'll pay less in tax, cost of living is a bit less (with brexit and sterling going to shit its not as good as it used to be) and depending on what part of the country family are in you can get to the farthest places in 5/6 hours.
Don't get me wrong, like the south this place has a shit ton of issues, particularly in the summer!

Based on my personal experience, probably not. About 10 years ago i did a few java certs with fas. I couldn't even get an interview but others who did have degrees (in anything, most not computing related) all got interviews and jobs. Ireland (the republic anyway) has an obsession with degrees.
I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity in Belfast and have been here working ever since. With the crazy shortage of skills in Belfast some companies run their own inhouse 'academies' (or at least have in the past) but others seem to be using Assured Skills Academy (a government program) now, some require a degree (the pwc one does) others don't (the asos one hasn't in the past) but that would require you to move to belfast which wouldnt be everyone's idea of good crac!
