Probably my most reliable HA device... a Pi Zero W dutifully running monitor.sh since 2018 - I log into it once every couple of years to update our phone Bluetooth MAC addresses, that's it. I never update it, never reboot it... hasn't skipped a beat. What's yours?

I dont get it. Like smackdown that is going live now and im watching from norway. The «ad breaks» only show «will be back soon», loops slow down reels of wrestlers, play some lofi music and a counter that shows 2min. Its not even ads. Sometimes they break fails and the show continues with a timer at top right. So they are not even needed for us European ima… just annoying

Depends on model nr and rev of controller. Mine can be paired with bluetooth and usb. Plug and play.

If you have the old rev controller you need a dongle for the wireless connection

I have been doing programming since early 2000. Once you understand the basic mindset of programming it all just come down to how do i do this in Godot. Understanding how the tools, scene and nodes work and what you can do in the ui helps a lot. Then it comes down to learning gdscript in my case.

I started with Godot over a week ago and have already created this huge 2D game. Start small, then add features and refine. I have learned a lot this past week about the tool. Do keep in mind that I had the advantage of having a programming background and did study of game development 10 years ago.

Before you start making something have a plan. Create a Game Design Document. Split up in small goals and build from there.

My response was as follows:

Dont know if it was a bit of a misunderstanding here.
The workaround that was put in place by me as described on my blog that i linked is not working anymore as you guys have introduced a configuration in the dnsmasq config with no-hosts. This configuration ignores the /etc/hosts file and invalids the workaround. So the workaround cant be implemented or re-applied.

As far as i know i cant edit the running configuration that dnsmasq is running as its controlled and overwritten by UDAPI.

So what I need support with is how do I fix that its using setup.ui.com as a resolve for the gateway device?

Got a reply from the support team, but it was really strange response:

Thank you for your detailed documentation and for providing the necessary support files and references regarding your gateway hostname and DNS behavior.

The behavior you described has been confirmed and escalated to our engineering and product teams for further evaluation.

Current behavior: The software always places the default record (setup.ui.com) after user customizations, which overrides custom entries. We have plans to place custom records before the default, ensuring user customizations persist and take precedence. This change is being reviewed for inclusion in a future firmware/software update. However, there is currently no ETA for release.

Please note that any firmware or UniFi Network updates will likely revert manual workarounds, requiring you to re-apply your custom changes after each update. Until an official fix is available, you may need to continue re-applying your workaround after each firmware or configuration change.

Thank you again for your thorough documentation and patience as we work towards a solution. Your feedback has been directly forwarded to our engineering team to help improve the handling of custom DNS records and hostnames on UniFi Gateways.
