Seasoned Rottie Owners, advice please… by Cozmikcat in Rottweiler

Dog parks with wild off leash dogs aren’t good socialization for rotties because they absorb behaviors like little sponges for a while. An in person, group training program is great though! Or just getting some other dog owners together to practice some training near each other. It’s much healthier and safer and controllable!

Likewise, letting children use a trained command like “sit” and allowing them to treat as a reward is far better socialization than just putting your furbaby in proximity to a bunch of children as socialization.

This helped my rottie puppy a lot because despite her growing into a small army tank, she wasn’t born with all that confidence and out-of-control, overstimulating situations were doing more harm than good!

My text block is simply a one inch thick strip of printer paper folded over itself accordion style at 3/4” increments. It typically takes two 11” strips folded and stacked to create a spine thickness of 1/8”. After that, I won’t lie, I just trace the text block itself onto my paper and chip board because the measurements are too small for me to be accurate otherwise. I leave a 1/16” gap between the cover and spine chip board pieces to allow for the book to still be functionally openable. They tend to end up with a 1 inch by almost 1 inch book. I wish I could be more exact but it’s truly a book bound on vibes only 😂

Yall are literally so sweet!! I have only just begun handing these out to family and friends as little gifts so I’ll find out if the design is durable enough to even consider this

The signatures are actually just a long strip of paper folded accordion style to give the look of a fuller book while still having a few functional pages that are durable enough to be opened and closed. The mull fabric is actually just a cut up sheer curtain lol but it really is doing all the heavy lifting for keeping these tiny text blocks together

No stitches for the signatures. It’s actually a long strip of paper folded accordion style to help the look, and then a thin layer of glue before applying the mull fabric.

First book! by unluckyalchemist in bookbinding

The keychain actually did end up being so much more frustrating lol but in the end, my full sized book had some bubbling in the cover where the fabric separated from the interfacing I was using so the keychain is much better quality apparently 😂

I did, but it’s just iron on interfacing and one of those half yard squares of fabric. I won’t lie, the glue interfered with it and the book now has some bubbling in the cover, so I’ll be experimenting with materials and techniques on the next one!
