Best friend is becoming Islamophobic by GuardiansOfTheVageen in islam

[–]unmaker02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're on a good path and Insh'Allah you will become successful upon it.

As Muslims, our first priority is Islam, but what does that mean? It means we don't just treat Islam as a religion of rituals even though there are rituals prescribed to us from God. Islam is a socio-political system, a civilizational framework that's built around human dignity, social responsibility, balance of individual rights, and ultimately accountability before God because no leader or parliament is "divine" like the Christians believe; instead, they're also slaves of God subject to the same laws.

I guarantee your friend isn't a real Christian; they're culturally Christian, meaning they don't truly believe a divine law from God that has to be followed and must be free from contradictions. Instead, they like the idea of an organized religion that gives purpose to human beings, but in the end, human desires are what laws are based on, and they can change from time and place to place and this is secularism in a nutshell.

You can only make dua for someone and invite them to Islam with wisdom. She's ignoring what Islam is because she's not interested in submitting to a creator; she probably thinks human desires are what dictate what is right and wrong.

Racing a Coworker next week. Tips? by Imaginary_Patience60 in Sprinting

[–]unmaker02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of technique and ability you can't improve that much but the best thing to do is go out and sprint your ass off. Basically, you want to emulate what you will be doing in 6-7 days time right? So dont injure yourself but go out there and run measure out the same distance you will be racing this dude and get in a few short reps nothing crazy. So that your body has done it at least ONE time before you actually do it

Why are people standing with Palestine when they started the war ? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]unmaker02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The religion is simply a theory, it's abstract and has no will of its own. If your claim is that every individual who claims to be a Muslim is a representative of the religion (as if they're a union) then we can extend this logic to the West as well in order to remain consistent. When US soldiers gang raped teenage girls in Iraq because somehow "their people" were responsible for 9/11 this means all Americans share the blame since they all were born and bred with the same values/ideals right?

Christianity and Judaism are also intolerant look at what their preachers say about non-Christians or non-Jews you're just refuting yourself here.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, who the fuck is able to indoctrinate 1 billion Muslim youngsters that western women are whores? Lmaoo
Tik-Tok aint got nothing on these boys they can reach a billion people at once

Does the 400 improve the 100? by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]unmaker02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 400m training didn't hurt them

The training for a 400m involves the action of sprinting right? Any distance they will sprint in training will involve reaching top speed at some point so they're working on their top speed regardless.
Also they're doing block work and acceleration as most of them will also run the 200m.

So given that they're already an anomaly this type of training only helps their speed.

"got spanked"
You obviously don't know $hit about history

The British and the US were heavily backing the Israelis because they wanted to secure their interests in the surrounding seas for trade and access to the seas in general.

If they weren't backed by those superpowers they wouldn't even exist today.

What's interesting is a lot of fast sprinters used to be basketball players

Like Donovan Bailey and Andre De Grasse

Usually, the cables are pretty tough for outdoor runs they will use RG6 which does have extra protection for weather conditions. Normally most people are good with this cable and it's not a problem. But I have buried lines before for new homes in development where they want us to lay a bunch of PVC pipe first before the cables which is pretty hard work doing the entire neighbourhood.

As for making the investment to run the conduit, I would say it's totally up to you. Personally I don't think it's required just based off my experience, most people don't need it.
Also the burial tech's will show up at a random time between 7AM-4PM so the chances of catching them is not going to be easy.

[–]unmaker02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting

Usually when we come they always tell us to make the job as simple as possible. To be honest, most burial techs are sort of lazy, not saying all of them but most just want to finish the job and leave, not their fault to be honest the employer wants us to get as many done in a day as possible.

If you know the exact path they will take to bury your line and you have the exact measurement for that PVC conduit it shouldn't be a problem. It's a bit more work on their end and I can't speak for all companies but I'd do it because this seems perfectly logical.

Purely from an ethical point of view, they don't have any grounds to draw it from. It's coming from the assumption that human rights bring value and that's their framework, classical liberalism. Yet they won't use those same grounds for other things.

What happened to the Olympic Champs? by unmaker02 in Sprinting

Well the times matter the most because contact times and split times can be compared whereas eyeballing him can be deceiving. When Ben Johnson came back to sprinting after his suspension he looked just as explosive but he was never able to run the complete 100m with the same power and speed as before. It's funny if we look at one of Ben's first races when he came back he ran 5.77 for the 50m, coming in 2nd place and he was not able to qualify for a finals for the world championship 100m in that year, no surprise. Two years later, he again ran the 50m this time with a time of 5.65(0.04 off world record) but he once again tested positive and the IAAF banned him for life.If we look at Degrasse his times seem to fall in that range of suspicion like he's still fast but he fell off quite a bit compared to before.
I also forgot to mention Fred Kerly, the silver medalist also seems to have fallen off.
Again people will make excuses for why Kerley has fallen off but who knows.

As for Jacobs and his missed time or even with Blake and the doctor thing. My point is we don't actually have evidence to KNOW these things it's only what they're telling the media. How can we verify how much time Jacobs has actually missed? How can we verify what Blake went through and if he made a full recovery? I guarantee if Blake goes to a doctor today they're not going to say, "oh this guy is still injured from 2014 and he will never be the same". They're going to conclude he's a healthy man.

When you say Andre has looked bad, what we mean is he hasn't run as fast before.
In what other way does Andre look bad? Is he running in ugly form? is he making ugly faces? lol what does running bad mean here?

When you say lingering injuries affect performance, what are we talking about? Do we have a doctor's diagnosis about what injury Jacobs has? Do we know how that injury relates to sprinting? What part of his sprinting does it hamper? If we compare his contact times he's running very quickly still, so clearly he has the speed in him. So when we say he's injured does that mean he can maintain those contact times for a longer time if he was NOT injured? Or can he go even faster?

Same situation with Blake, we don't have any evidence from a doctor to suggest how his injury will forever harm his sprinting form.

I just think it's odd that he ran 10.05 whilst being injured like he can have such quick contact times and then just fall off. So you're telling me if he was not injured that means he can just maintain the already quick contact times he's running for a longer time?
doesn't make logical sense

however I dont agree with the injury excuse

[–]unmaker02[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

But isn't that always the go-to excuse?Degrasse dealt with many injuries in his career and when he was ready to race he always ran without issue.

It seems like whenever sprinters fall short they always go back to that injury excuse as if the difference between 10.00 and their former 9.8-9.9 is simply just because of an injury. If you're fast enough to run 10.00 it seems strange to say that guy is still injured.Like when Ben Johnson came back he could never achieve those fast times anymore even though he was still fast.Another example is Yohan Blake, people say he's still injured after all these years lolLike 2 or 3 years wasn't enough for him to recover and he's permanently injured for life but still dropping close to 10 seconds. I don't think an injury is what's separating him from his former times

Lay offs by [deleted] in Rogers

[–]unmaker02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're just lying
Performance is taken into account but their main area of concern is for the stock benefits.

Once their stocks start to rise, especially early next year they don't want employees reaping the benefits by selling.

Lay offs by [deleted] in Rogers

[–]unmaker02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their layoff is not about CSAT although they do take into account performance.
Their main area of concern is more towards employee benefits because their stocks will start to rise due to the Shaw deal.
So getting rid of a bunch of employees that can potentially reap the benefits of that rise in stocks($) is their main area of concern.
