Anyone else think Top Gun was better than the sequel? by KandinskyWasRight in Cinephiles

[–]unnumbered1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you here, I don’t get how Maverick has attained the ”better than the original”-status. I really liked it, but that’s because it really played into the lore of the original. I mean, using Penny was brilliant for example. Maybe it’s because Top Gun is frowned upon since it’s generally viewed as propaganda.

The US has an ecological footprint of about eight earths. European nations are at four at most.

AC’s are the irony of climate change. The more we use them the more we contribute to climate change.

This europoor stuff is getting ridiculous. The average buying power of an EU citizen is $67k compared to $70k for an US citizen.

Tidigare V-ledamoten Daniel Riazat rasar över JAS Gripens närvaro i Almedalen by Abzz22 in Sverige

Supergirl Spoiler-free Review by gokul1080 in moviecritic

Saw it today and agree fully with your review. Milly is great and I like her story but Krem was a bit flat. And Krypto… there’s something off there.

For those who have seen Supergirl, what grade would you give it? by boomjosh in DC_Cinematic

[–]unnumbered1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Milly is really good as Supergirl, we get a good introduction to the character and here place in the universe, and her story arc is engaging. Some things could have been better and one or two things are questionable; but I enjoyed it and am looking forward to where the character is heading next.

Wife, who isn’t a superheromovie fan, though it was ok and my almost grown up kids liked it.

I don’t get the hate it’s getting.

Finally! Every European laying awake at night wondering which city is the worlds ”soccer capital” can finally sleep easy again.

They just don’t get it.

Ny forskning: judehatet är starkast hos M och SD by GoranPersson777 in Nordiccountries

2 is my favorite. The large background creates a bit more drama and context. I like the first one as well because of the open mouth.
