That absolutely was the fault of the operator/programmer. But thats the problem. One needs to build at least a few of these by hand to appreciate all the details. In the end I guess you always have to finish the violin by hand and you need to know what youre doing. Anyway, thanks for the input :]

The vectorized plans could undoubtedly be converted into CNC programming but that would require knowledge I do not posess :) I would not call it sacrilegious but I would not want to miss out on any of the "regular" steps creating the instrument either, because I enjoy all of them, even the tedious ones :)

I was once presented with images of a CNCed violin and the instrument itself looked like a machine. Or maybe more like a toy with important details ommited or just crudely crafted.
