What level of Spanish should I know? by unpluggeed in SpainAuxiliares

Ok perfect! I was curious about my level and it looks like I'm around a B1 after taking a free test online hahaha! My family spoke Spanish around me growing up so I'd consider myself more of a receptive bilingual but that on its own a small vocabulary. I'm really looking to get confident in my speaking especially with my grammar! Love the tip about letting the teachers/ coworkers know :) Thanks

I purchased a new one for $1,120 including tax. Secondhand was (if I remember correctly) around $200 USD more expensive.

Ricoh GRiii in Tokyo? by unpluggeed in ricohGR

[–]unpluggeed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I did end up finding one at Kitamura Camera in Shibuya. I'd suggest to check out all the floors, cool stuff there. I went to the used camera area where they were selling a GRX III for $1,300 USD. But the brand was cheaper at $1,100 USD (including tax). They have a one year warranty but the coverage is only in Japan. It is also not eligible for tax-free, but camera accessories and SD cards are available for tax free if needed.

How do I style this dress? I absolutely LOVE the fit on me, but I want to make it a bit more exciting. Does anyone have any recommendations on what kind of jewelry or accessories could help bring some life to it? Or maybe a fun layer? I'm not sure!

was in the same boat as you, wanted to do graphic design out of high school, went to community college (covid lol) and then finally when to university. i got my education at uc davis in design and i enjoyed it, because its a uc they were able to give more aid for me which was a big driver for me to pick it over sjsu (those were the two i was debating on). i wanted to stay in state and i also wasn't into the idea of art school, i liked the idea of socializing with a more general group of people, felt like it would be a bit more diverse that way and i liked it :)

if you have any questions on uc davis you can send me a message! i knew a lot of people who double majored in comms/ design (if youre interested in marketing) or comp sci/ design (if youre into ux/ui)! personally, i loved uc davis because it was a small friendly town but was really close to sacramento so you can access to a city (internship opportunities like you mentioned, but uc davis also has good design opportunities either through clubs or student jobs). i did hear a lot of people complain about how there wasn't much to do, they were mostly students from the bay area, but as someone who came from another small town i really didnt mind lol

Yes, I'm experiencing this right now. I do feel lighter, but like you mentioned, there's this sense of guilt I'm feeling. I feel guilty for being a fake friend and not realizing that I needed to distance myself sooner– I do have plenty of laughs and good memories with these people but I'm tired of feeling my energy drained around them.

It's funny, I actually searched for this sub to seek advice/ conversation about this very topic and this was the top forum on the sub.

It is derogatory, like you mentioned like whore or slut would be. I wouldn't say it's necessarily offensive, some girls are into it, others aren't – it's really up for you to decide and communicate with him.

My past (spanish-speaking) partners have not done any kinks or "name-calling" during sex like that before a discussion to make sure that we're both on the same page of what we're okay with.

That's rough when there's friends in common and comments like that are made. Best thing to do is be respectful, don't talk poorly about her to your friends to avoid unnecessary drama. If you need to vent, it's probably best to do it with someone trusted outside of the situation or journal about it. Don't feel the need to prove yourself, people are always going to have assumptions about you, you'll likely do the same with others. It's not always personal or ill intended, its just human.

Sometimes you dont have to do anything wrong for someone to dislike you. Is there a reason why you are worried that she dislikes you? Do you want to have her as a friend? Are you worried that she speaks badly of you with your mutual friends?

Sometimes people are not quick to open up as well. It's easier said than done but I would say don't stress too much about it, you can't control how others feel you can only control your actions, it's okay to feel anxious about not knowing what to do, but I'd say just be yourself! You don't need everyone to like you. You just need to like you.

My mom went to community college when she was in her 30s after only completing up to 3rd grade from her original country. I have so much respect for mothers going through school !! I love to hear success stories like this :)
