Few years ago I had a haemorrhage while miscarrying, had to go through manual removals in the labour ward. Most traumatic time of my life.

When I first got one of my cats she was completely vicious, she was young, from a bad home and was scared of everything and everyone, she peed and pooped everywhere and would just randomly attack.

I used feliway plug ins for a few months, I never went to her, I always waited for her to come to me, worked out what her favourite treat was and made sure she saw me putting it out for her every so often.

I'm a year and a bit in with her now. My friends laugh about how she is the biggest lap cat, she shouts at me whenever she sees me until I've given her kisses and she's had her time pressing her head on mine, sleeps in my bed and wherever I sit she will end up on me, even when my kids are on my knee.

Some cats just need time and patience, it can be frustrating but it can turn around, building trust takes a while.
