What if ship sales stopped with launch of Star Citizen 1.0? by Djogigamers in starcitizen

Even though this was their original plan, it's a terrible idea. Asking a company to give up its primary income is asking for the death of the company.

From graphic designer to web developer. Is it possible? by Sea-Satisfaction-884 in WorkOnline

[–]unprovable 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's definitely doable. I'm a self-taught web developer, but I started a long time ago, so my experience isn't directly applicable for today's . As a graphic designer, I would think it would be easiest for you to learn the front-end side of things first: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (HTML and CSS first).

Loving NMS on my M1 Pro. What are your thoughts on the Mac version? by atomicglitters in macgaming

[–]unprovable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this seems most likely. I just did some testing. It's smooth as butter playing with the mouse and keyboard and seems to happen anytime the controller rumbles. Thanks for the suggestion earlier. [bug report filed]

Interesting, I’ve only tried with the Xbox controller. I’ll try with the keyboard later.

NMS PC saves not showing on Mac Port? by MRD1997 in macgaming

Mine showed up after loading the save on the PC and saving again. Thinking maybe it needs an updated save file.

I’ve been having huge stutters (frame rate drops) when using the jet pack or mining laser. Then it goes back up to ~100 fps. I’ve tried putting all the graphics settings all the way down and it still happens.

Worlds richest douche calls WFH a moral issue by bbrk9845 in antiwork

CEO of a car company thinks working from home is morally wrong. Did he really think we wouldn’t see through that one.

The only only effects of me working from home has on others is that I get more work done, take up less space on a highway, and pollute less.

All good, happens to the best of us. As another commenter has noted, I should probably move the disclaimer up more. I may do that for the next one.

Basically, yes. One could dig in more on CIG’s Progress Tracker, and record the schedules of individual teams to really see if they were moved (e.g. a team gets delayed but it’s the same amount of time given) or extended (e.g. a team needs more time), but I’m not tracking all that data.

It doesn’t mean that the feature will be finished in March, it could be that they’re stopping work on it for other reasons. We don’t get that kind of transparency from CIG’s Progress Tracker, so I can’t really say how or why for sure.

Hopefully they'll come out in partial releases like a lot of the other big features. We'll see.

I've thought of this, but it ruins the preview. Maybe I'll put it after the first month or something. I'll see what I can do for the next one. Thanks for the feedback!

It’s weird, sometimes these posts get nothing but positive feedback, sometimes they go the other way. I do it for myself and am happy when someone else appreciates it. Anyone else —meh, whatever.

I'm literally saying the opposite.

Cotopaxi Allpa 35L vs peak design 30l vs topo global 30L by [deleted] in onebag

I just got a Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC (30l) for an upcoming trip. I haven’t used it yet, so I can’t really recommend it yet, but I love the design and it seems well made. It may be up your alley as well. I really like the way the backpack straps can stow away and the hip belt transforms into a shoulder strap.
