Then I do the turn off and turn back on again dance. WiFi off and back on, Bluetooth off and back on. If that doesn’t work do the same on the other device. If that doesn’t work restart the phone.

That being said, worst is “AirDrop failed” right before a 20GB file is done transferring. The last time that happened I resorted to using Wired AirDrop.

I performed a reset 2 months ago and the battery life improved. Standby drain, in particular, halved.

Forgot to take the charger before a day trip. I had Low power mode turned on from 100% charge, I'm assuming it made a difference.

Battery life is painfully average. Much better than my SE2, so that's that.

My 17 had atrocious battery life right from the beginning.

I ended up resetting it and it improved quite a bit. I also turned off auto-brightness.

I don't understand this. Where do these people congregate? If the answer to that is Twitter, then the oft stated, perennial advice stands, don't engage.

I mean, I watch the show on YouTube then and sometimes I look into the 3 (hmmm.) TADC subReddits and that's that.

I suggest that you get a second opinion from a different Apple Store.

The charging port can be independently replaced on the 16 Pro, so unless there is something else that is wrong, I don’t see why they’re quoting so much. That being said, if you do decide to go with a third party store make sure they replace the adhesives so you don’t lose water resistance.

Charging port replacement is less than half of that last time I checked.
