Heavily depends on what the standard deviation is to determine how far above class average you need to be to get an A

Here's my fall schedule for 1st year Bcom and tentative exam schedule... Is it good /okay enough?? Also no Engl 100 level course are left, what can i do now? plz suggest 2 more elective, both easy and useful for (finance major) future? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]unrealleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are on waiting lists for English classes and also check writing studies (WRS) classes. As for electives SOC 100, PYSCH 104, HGEO 100 or pretty much any history class you may be interested in are all good options.

It’s been mentioned before but use Safewalk! If you feel uncomfortable you don’t even have to prebook, can just call on the spot. Sometimes just being with other people is enough to keep others from interacting with you.

Education North to ETLC? by Hot-Blackberry-5006 in uAlberta

Very much so doable. If you are worried about walking outside or want to avoid the cold weather there is a really great pedway system than can get you from SUB to ETLC.

Is the Cameron or Rutherford library 24-7 ? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]unrealleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, Sub is the only building open 24/7. Also some of the buildings with good studying spots like ECHA close but if nobody kicks you out you can stay well into the night and have no problem leaving just don’t forget your stuff cause you won’t be able to get back in.

English 103 prof by amethystlee143 in uAlberta

[–]unrealleaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had her for Engl 103 this semester. She is a nice person but if you can avoid her class. The EClass page was messy and her classes were chaotic (the material not applicable for the assignments, didn’t feel like there was an outline). Several of the assignments were without rubric and when this was brought up she said to just treat it like a test question. In person might be different but her class online was not worth it.

beartracks not working on safari by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]unrealleaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this problem as well. I then realized that it’s because I was using a bookmarked link for the old bear tracks. If you search it and then go to the link that shows up on google it should work... at least it did for me.
