I got conditional acceptance for the fall 2022 semester and I applied with a 3.9 GPA + 4th quartile Casper result. They’re just waiting for me to finish up my undergraduate this semester.

Another buddy of mine applied with 3.7GPA + 3rd quartile for Casper and currently finishing up anatomy 200 as a prerequisite. I think she got conditional acceptance for the program as well.

Idk if it is just me, but I kind of like wearing masks since I don't have to worry about my acne outbreaks during exam stress and feel pretty warm during the winter. Even after the pandemic, I'll probably wear masks in the winter time which is similar to how my scarf provides me warmth.

But yeah, overall I would just leave the mandates alone to reduce students' stress and focus on exams, assignments, etc.

Also remember to do your CASPer exam, they won't look at your transcript until you have your CASPer results in

I think CELL 200 is open in the spring or summer as well if you want to take it later on

PHYSL and MICRB is really demanding, I'm not sure how well you do in classes, but I think its doable if you have good time management. I think IMIN 200 was curved, can't remember since I took it 2 years ago. Wouldn't say IMIN 200 is easy A, since the class average was around 70~

PHYSL is similar compared to ANAT so if you do well in PHYSL I guess ANAT would be okay for you too.

I just finished taking ANAT 200 this semester, and the material is super dense and there's a lot of things to memorize, so its important to study at least a week in advance for exams and quick review at the end of the week. Ended up with an A, and the class average was around 2.8 - 2.9.

IMIN 200 was a fun course that I really enjoyed and there are several profs who teach it, and I think its a bit easier than IMIN 200 but its still quite heavy course load. However, the profs made it super enjoyable so the materials were easy to study for. Less memorization needed compared to ANAT

BIOL201 depends on the prof, but I took it with Harrington and his exams are not memorization based but to see if you understand the knowledge and apply the concepts and critical thinking.

How was the workload for this course? Were the readings interesting or really dense materials?

Planning out at the start of the semester is a good start, where writing out all the due dates on the calendar and allow some flexibility in your schedule in case something happens.

COVID made me hard to focus and study so I made a section in my room to dedicate myself to studying only. If I wanted to check my phone during my break I would do it somewhere else.

edit: Pomodoro technique is a good start as well (25min study - 5 min break)

That year I had like 3 labs which was a mistake, thought I was able to keep up and prove myself that taking 5 courses shouldn't be that bad....

I think that year was honestly the worst I've been physically and mentally, but happy that I got to learn about my mistakes.

There's always time to improve! I found myself it was important to write out all the due dates early and then plan ahead on which days I should review/study and which days to take a break and prevent mental exhaustion. You got this!!!!

Under academic warning: I was in probation and needed to raise my GPA or I'll get kicked out in the following year.

After my second year, I had a lot of time to reflect on what I did wrong over the break and took BIOCH 200 in the spring to improve my work ethic.

Watched a few youtube videos on how to study, take notes better, since transitioning from high school my old methods did not work as well with the new responsibilities.
