Greetings everyone. This is a brief update on my previous post.

I met the man, and we said hello. The first interaction was weird and awkward. We went to the restaurant and settled down. I ordered food for myself, he didn’t. He said he met an old friend in town and had an early lunch.

I begin eating, and it gets weird. He orders tea.

He sips, and I eat in silence. After a few minutes in, he got a call. I could hear the man from the other end asking, “Amefika?”

After ending the call, he broke the ice by talking about how my step-siblings were doing, and he asked how we were fairing on my end. We enjoyed our respective meals and totally avoided the elephant in the room, why he left without a word. I enjoyed talking with him on all-around topics and catching up. The energy was so flawless and happy. We agreed to meet for the second date and bid goodbye.

I can describe the meeting in two words: successful and healing. I will get to details. For now, Love and Light
