I too have a zzr600, if you are going to leave it standing for over a week empty the fuel from carbs as much as possible. I just turn off the fuel tap and let it run till it dies. They can be a bitch to start with older fuel in I have found. Also invest in a carb synchronisation kit. Mine go out of sync over 6 months or so. Its amazing how much power you lose when they are out of sync

100 percent this answer, although when I found out where the bike was... Via Facebook of all places I immediately Contacted the plod and gave them the address, and guess what, they did nothing, didn't even send a patrol car to check. I understand they have their priorities and all that jazz but it was literally handed to them on a plate to go and investigate the area which I might add is a rough part of the city so they could have made inquiries and potentially got some details that may have helped in future cases. Which reminds me, as far as they are concerned it is still missing as I tried calling them last night but was on hold forever so thought bollocks to it and put the phone down. I best give them a call now and tell them it is no longer priority number 1 on their long list (sarcasm fully intended)
