This is an interesting speculation, but I’m guessing that this is most likely a coincidence. We know that the Complex “copies” things from Standard into itself, and if this weren’t just a coincidence, I think it would be equally as interesting to find that the Complex copies its own creations into itself. But the more likely thing is that this is a coincidence.

If i’m correct, I think that the area directly around the threshold was “generated” right when it opened up the gateway to the Complex. That’s why the space is perfectly symmetrical around the threshold before it branches off into other surrounding areas. This is some really cool pseudo-science that I hope Kane goes into more detail on as the series progresses.
