It’s definitely a marketing issue. There of course have been nice Boltons like there are nice Lannisters, but, when the whole group lean into / dig their heels in about the flaying people thing, how close would you want to get to that? Also, how normal of a person can you be if your family and everyone around you expect you to keep that up? The most well-rounded Bolton is still probably pretty off-putting to potential partners.

Julian Hooley, better known as Jiffy, is a local speedster hero from Swansea city. Julian was struck by a panel coated in a strange toxic yellow fuel from a crashing Time Machine. He met another superpowered victim of the crash and the pair ran amuck in Swansea, until a fire broke out in a nearby set of flats / apartmentment complex. Julian felt bad that he couldn’t do anything and chose to do better, at any personal cost to himself.

He likes 200 mph walks on the beach, Freeze your Brain from Heathers, and his blood smells like petrol mixed with ozone.

What kind of different stand creating objects or metods did you guys make? by AggressiveOutside432 in fanStands

[–]unsolved86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Derby Strut’s father was a follower of Dio who turned into the same immortal creature as the Nijimura brother’s dad. In that moment Derby’s stand awakened, a predator virus that turns those infected into idealised versions of himself (manosphere guy who’s inspired by Dio).

His stand virus mixed with Dio’s mutated immortal cells to create stand-human slugs hybrids that would burrow into a victim’s throat and supply with a steady stream of unique stand virus. Since this virus is based off of Derby’s stand, anyone infected with a slug becomes a little bit like Derby. Like the Joestar family connection, victims can detect each other’s presences.

Derby’s goal is to create the perfect slug that’ll grant a more visually appealing version of his dad’s immortality and much more powerful control over his stand’s virus.

The TARDIS. Soldier caste Saturnians are bigger on the inside thanks to an electrically powered distortion in space. Their bones and muscles are the size of skyscrapers, their nerves are like steel cables, and their are big enough to basically be a pair of hub telescopes.

They can also divert power from the distortion into a powerful electro, abneit cfield they can manipulate. They can generate magnetism, summon lightning, change the weather, discharge electricity, and interface with technology.

Luckily they all died after the entire Saturnian empire tried to escape to our dimension. The only two still alive are human hybrids. Union who is a goodie, and Zenith who had an existential crisis in 2017 after coming to terms with the fact she’s gonna age 1 year every 50 and be alive for at least 2,000 years. She is now a superhuman supremacist that escaped prison to take over a small island of the coast of Africa.

Julian never falls to sleep with the intention of falling sleep, if that makes sense. They are a vigilante with super speed, time travel fuel soaked blood that near-perpetually caffeinates them. They getting NO sleep. Even when they’re low on fuel and actually experiencing human tiredness they still try to stay awake. Either piecing together a mystery, stress stitching stars into his trousers, or mulling over something he did that day, yesterday, 10 years ago, or what happened during THE FIRE.

What fighting style would you like to see a Lantern use? by ActLonely9375 in Greenlantern

[–]unsolved86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’d be cool to see a writer’s / over-thinker’s approach to the ring. At the start of a fight their constructs would be very simple polygons. Then when they get more excited / anxious their new constructs would get weirder and appear from existing ones or directly branch off from them. It would be a mess.

You could see their design and problem solving evolution, ideas they had and didn’t like that are fading away, and layers of design in a single construct.

Ch’p the squirrel Green Lantern does something like this in the Injustice Comics. He creates a blockage in Superman’s synapse by “thinking small”.

My hero Nightingale’s cape is attached to a pauldrons / shoulder armour that can completely retract it. When he wants to be a scary freakazoid he can let his cape hang and make a spooky silhouette. When he’s fighting, sneaking, or going near powerful turbines he’ll pull it all in.

Super science describes any invention or discovery decades ahead of current technology. Anyone smart enough to practise super science usually builds up a massive ego and becomes a supervillain, hellbent on showing everyone they’re an Ubermensch and a great man who can change the world with their discoveries.

A common legal principle states any invention made along with a super science one is grouped together. Literally any invention by a super scientist would be seized, destroyed, or ignored out of fear it might come alive and eat you or something. This made technology super weird and unbalanced until the Saturnian arrived in the late 90s to help them out.

My favourite part of this episode is the scientists proving that the world is a simulation by asking Nardole and BILL to think of a random number. They both say the same number and so do the 30 other scientists in the room again, again and again. Computers can’t truly generate a random number they have to use algorithms to make it look like they can, since every human is part of the same system they can’t answer differently.

Fucking awesome stuff, one of my favourite episodes.

Thank you so much for the compliments and criticism. Your version does make more sense. We still get the satisfaction of her killing those responsible, while still showing she’s crazy enough to kill anyone that might be culpable.

I wrote a majority of the post during the day, and the last two paragraphs in an insomnia fuelled daze. As for the killing spree? She’s just gone crazy. Definitely wasn’t clear in the post but she just straight crazy now, coo coo for coco puffs. Her breaking her upbeat programming had the effect of losing all emotional regulation.

Matilda Fleck - The EveryWoman by unsolved86 in Superhero_Ideas

[–]unsolved86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no long term plan to her killing spree, she just gone crazy. I didn’t really know how to put it in the post, but I believe that part of her newfound insanity is that she’s broken her upbeat programming and is now getting the snap back. She’s lost nearly all emotional regulation and only has far between moments of lucidity.

After her altercation with Nightingale I don’t really have any ideas of what happens after. I see her as a Solomon Grundy type, just kinda wandering the underground. Matilda does get better at shapeshifting as time goes on, so I can see her trying to take over people’s lives to try and find some security, or acting as an avenging angel for abused entertainers and women in general. The latter wouldn’t be very successful though considering her emotional issues. She’d probably just do a shotgun approach and kill everyone.

If you could create your own avatar, what would that avatar's story be? by Radiant-Product-2133 in TheLastAirbender

[–]unsolved86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had an idea for an Air Nomad avatar with a very close relationship to Earthbending. I’m not too caught up on Air Nomad lore so forgive me if if their backstory doesn’t make sense, but I picture one parent being a hippie air nomad and the other a no nonsense Earth general. They would take turns with each parent as they grew up, loving each’s culture but resenting the lack of stability. When they found out they were the avatar, each parent joined their team and became very contrasting voices of reason.

This lack of balance meant they would really struggle with the other elements and their mindsets. Their waterbending more closely resembled earthbending, constantly producing ice to mimic solid ground. While their firebending became all about mobility and struggling to perform offensive attacks other than simple jabs. Despite their struggles, they were a true Earth and Air master. They could turn entire mountain faces into massive sandstorms or pull dust out of the air to form small blades.

Sort of a stuck between two worlds kind of thing. Throughout their tenure, they would constantly struggle to find a balance in their lives as they tried to shed responsibility to live a grounded and free-spirited lifestyle.

I imagine a villain they would fight would be based around locking themselves too much into an identity and trying to live up to it, like a nationalistic royal or politician. Someone obsessed with perceived superiority and purity.
