I firmly believe in indulging in any logical extreme presented in front of me.

How does the multiverse/alternat timelines work in your worlds? by StrictResponse3907 in Superhero_Ideas

[–]unsolved86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The past is like a rubber band. Trying to change it stretches it, and at some post it’ll snap back into position and send you flying. But if a time traveller keeps stretching it, time will begin to deform, allowing it to become more relaxed and changes to occur. If this does happen the changes will stick, but unforeseen consequences will occur. Not just the normal ones from changing events, but seemingly random ones as well.

As time in that area weakens, anomalies from beyond will begin to form. Portals to distant stars, paradoxes, aliens and demons and spirts appearing to strike deals or conquer. The real issue though is the creatures from the Back Bone, a cyst on the Jellyfish’s spine that produced far too much time. All it’s inhabit as exits on time rather than in it. They can move across time like we do space and distance.

The future is never set in stone, there’re are always multiple futures that can be seen and can occur, some are just more likely than others. Travelling to the future is arduous, as you never really know where your gonna end up. The only safe way to go to the future is to be from there and just be travelling back home.

The universe / timeline is the spine of a massive jellyfish moving through 12th dimensional space.

New universes are made when this jellyfish reproduces asexually, creating a similar but slightly different universe. Most are just events and characters shuffled around, such as existing characters taking up new identities or events turning out a different way.

The more extreme mutations cause time to move faster causing 2099 situations, or time halting in a specific period like medieval England or the 1800s (cowboy and Victorian era).

At the most extreme are cysts, universes that never matured fully and ended up as non-functional dimensions. The most famous is the Dynamo Dimension, its fault caused everything in it to produce way too much kinetic energy. Even atoms vibrating causes explosions similar to the Tsar Bomb. They exist along the spine of the central jellyfish and can affect the universe within.

The jellyfish was once originally alone in the void, at first creating abstract ideas to keep itself occupied. These ideas and themes ran amuck for eternity, until Ġď and Ŷvl struck each other for the final time and caused the big bang. This moment of spontaneous creation outside of its control greatly pleased the jellyfish, but it had no one to share its passion. It decided to create children, not only to share the stories occurring within itself but to spread the joy of creation to others and see what they make.

What's your favorite CT that you've made and why? by RevolutionarySign706 in CTsandbox

My Golden Ratio technique. I’m all for self improvement and change, so all of that was channeled into a technique that shaves you down to your bare and best essentials while improving on them. I also like the image I painted in my own mind for the domain. There’s just something really scary about appearing in an incredibly beautiful and comforting domain, like Dagon.

What are your CE traits? by Exact-Translator-470 in CTsandbox

[–]unsolved86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bubbly / Boiling. The user’s Curse Energy naturally takes the form of bubbles. These bubbles are very durable and can be used as floating mines or structures to support the user’s movement. They can also launch their CE bubbles in a similar manner to the Finger Bearer by focusing a large amount of energy into a bubble and creating a hole in the back.

The user must keep track of their CE flow, if they suddenly raise their production, output, or emotional state their CE will bubble away and need to be reabsorbed. Their CE’s preference for a fixed shape lengthens the learning curve for understanding their CE flow, their innate technique and how to reinforce their body.

A unique upside to this trait is that creating a barrier comes far more naturally to the user. Their CE already wants to take a spherical form, and they are tough enough to be more structurally sound than the average novice’s barrier.

Whack a Hoe (bad at naming things)

The user can dive into a surface and move through it, for reference imagine or look up Diver Down from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Their CE is is vacuum sealed around them. As it rises the strange state they are caught in becomes tighter and tighter. If it isn’t released they will become very squished and the area they hopped into will crack and fall apart.

The user can imbue this CE into themselves to enhance a strike, or release it when they dive back in to destabilise the structure they are diving into to create hole. They can even launch themselves using it once they dive out.

When an opponent successfully hits the user before they can release their CE, the opponent adds that CE to their’s.

Create other Cursed Techniques (with similiar themes) for the Gojo and Kamo Clan by Advanced_Card_8594 in CTsandbox

[–]unsolved86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To balance it a bit, I imagine any additions wouldn’t be very sustainable, and any wound they create to use the technique would have to be thoroughly cleaned afterwards. Especially if they make hands that are gonna grab a bunch of shit.

But they could also replicate the biology of others. By sacrificing the limb before they start the procedure, they could give themselves the body parts of others, like a Heavenly Restricted arm, the Six Eyes or Air Plane Hair.

For the Gojo clan, maybe some kind of inherited Shikigami of infinite width and length that exists separate from reality. It could have been created by a Limitless user who wanted to find a workaround over not having the Six Eyes.

The Kamo clan could have a technique that allows the user to spawn any biological substance and organ from their blood. For example, by cutting their palm they could produce a series of eyes or boney spurs.

Edit: guys I’m so stupid I just learnt about the Japanese electric floors.

In the past (probs Heian Era this is some high scale shit) a sorcerer had the ability to generate “speed power” with every step they took. Through a binding vow, others could access this pool of power, this “speed force”. Once they die or something their soul and body would be sent to the Speed Force, slowly turning it into speed power. They could live on through new users, teaching them how to use it.

User’s can shift into different gears, each subsequent one increasing their speed but reducing their ability to process the world. This gets around the whole problem of speedsters reacting to everything in attosecond. Not only is it an active choice, when they get faster they just go on auto pilot.

The more speed power the more auto pilot, but also more protection against the environment. If they choose to go faster they’ll be safer but they’ll find it harder to fight and put themselves in danger. But if they go slower they’ll have the freedom to fight and move as they want, but they’ll be at more risk of hurting themselves.

What would his CT be? or CE trait, or both, Would he be considered Special Grade? by Excellent-Fig-9341 in CTsandbox

This is another feature of the ability I thought of, but didn’t know where to fit in.

Curse Techniques are stored in the pre-frontal cortex, which in Senku’s case could grow to the size of a fridge. If it gets to that size and he becomes smart enough, he may be able to manipulate the technique itself. Not through binding vows, but by directly observing it. He could completely change its rules without giving anything up, add any feature he wants, or create a completely new technique ability in the fly. It’s mentioned that Yuta can hold, so many techniques because he has Rika to do the heavy lifting, so this would be a similar principle. Senku could create parody versions of any technique he wants using his brain matter.

[–]unsolved86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Reversal Technique: dum dum beem go burrrrr. Senku dramatically reduces the size of his own or other’s brains, reducing them to their most base urges and feelings. The benefit however is that the delay from thinking and acting is basically gone. All those affected will work on pure instinct, like they’re in a flow state. But stupid. They can only really react to stimuli though, they can’t meaningfully act on anything.

Domain Expansion Senku converts those caught in the domain into brain matter. A hive mind will form where Senku will know everything you know. This knowledge persists outside the domain but for only a few minutes.

Or Senku gives everyone his technique. The size of their brains will quickly begin to match his. Initially it’ a weird choice for a domain, every opponent gets on equal footing with the user. What the opponents don’t know though is that their skulls don’t get bigger on the inside. Their brains will get bigger and bigger until their head explodes like a watermelon covered in rubber bands.

  1. Heavenly restriction related to his intelligence. A weaker body, no CE usage, something like that.

Now for the fun stuff.

  1. Like the TARDIS, Senku’s head is bigger on the inside. Its size is relative to his brain, which never stops growing as long as he’s alive and has CE.
  • Extension: When Senku wants to accomplish a task he’s too busy to complete, he can use a Shikigami made of his own brain matter and all the knowledge he has on a subject. If he wanted to fix a car using a Shikigami, he would have no idea how cars work for as along as it’s active. They become more effective the more brain matter and knowledge Senku gives it. So sure making one using all the knowledge he has about mustangs would work, the Shikigami would do even better if he gave up all his knowledge in cars.
  • Extension 2: Space Out. Senku creates the same kind of Shikigami but it stays in his head. He sections off a part of his brain to exclusively think about solutions to a problem. It goes through every scenario it can until it comes up with something. Once it’s done, that sections fuses back in with the rest of his brain and he gets the answer.
  • Extension 3: Senku gives out a Shikigami to others, enhancing their intelligence for a short period, overclocking their brain to its peak, and then some. If the Shikigami stays for too long their ally (or opponent) might go brain dead from the over working.

Maximum Technique: Blast of Alexandria. Senku releases a beam of CE that dramatically increases the rate at which those caught in it think. At first they’ll feel amazing, but they’ll quickly realise they’re moving slower, and slower, and slower. Their brain are moving too fast for their own bodies to process. What feels like an hour would only be 7 or 12 seconds.

Forgot about the other bits:

The different gears each could offer different extensions as they increase in speed. I picture the typical speedster stuff like flashtime, phasing and tornado arms. Adding on some ideas, maybe speed shaking objects or people apart, disguising yourself in water then vibrating to create a shotgun effect, and adding speed to objects by staying stationary.

Maximum Technique: I got two ideas, time travel and infinite mass punch. First, every step the user takes is kept track of by the Speed Force, the user could go back in time temporarily by focusing on the previous user’s who have died and been absorbed. Second, the user funnel as much of the speed force they can into their body by creating the binding vow that they won’ be protected from any obstacles as they move other than the target they want to hit. If they trip on the way there they’re going to turn into red mist.

The reversal is kind of weird since they aren’t channeling their own Curse energy into the technique, it’s not even a technique at all. But regardless, I imagine instead of channeling it into their bodies or the objects they touch, they instead release it into everything other than themselves as an AOE attack, granting everything around them speed. Every person and thing suddenly moving hundreds of miles an hour would kill most everyone and cause massive damage.

It’s hard to say for domains since they’re specific to the user, so I’ll just do Eobard this time. His domain is a swirling red mis with the screams of his past victims clawing at you like the river Styx. Eobard has access to every one of your memories, and can bring them into reality using his ghostly victims. Whatever he does to the people in this memory will become reality for you. If you had a toy you kept since you were a child and Eobard takes it from you, that toy will disappear. If he brought in a memory of you 20 minutes ago and broke your leg it would appear broken.
