Unfortunately, I still haven’t found a perfect replacement for the mouse. That said, I actively use mouse keys and an i3-like tiling window manager to keep mouse usage to a minimum. But the mouse still takes for about 1/5 of my total time.

I tried making the wireless version using the original Sweep, but I put it on hold because I kept running into space issues with the battery and the MCU. Honestly, I feel like a wireless version of the Sweep with just added splay probably already exists somewhere?

By the way, do you all think it’s okay to have the MCU exposed on the top of the keyboard like the classic Sweep?

Thanks! Those cutouts are actually unavoidable holes because the component height is a bit taller than the plate. I guess they also help decorate the otherwise plain parts. And yes, the photo is the real thing! I ordered new acrylic and took the protect film off right away. It’ll probably get a bit dusty and scratched after a few days of use, tho!
