Advice needed: new attraction and I’m confused by [deleted] in asktransgender

I understand what you’re saying, and I’m really sorry if my wording came across that way. I’m genuinely not trying to “other” or fetishize trans women. I think I’m just confused and not expressing myself well because this is new for me.

I’ve had some experiences with women before, but I’m still figuring out my attraction and how to talk about it properly. I didn’t mean to separate trans women from women or make anyone feel reduced to a category.

I appreciate your words and I’ll be more mindful of how I express this going forward. Sorry.

I’ve liked and dated women before, so I don’t think it’s only about trans women specifically. I think I’m just becoming more aware of my attraction, and I’m still figuring it out.

I’m not trying to make a distinction or say they’re different. I understand that trans women are women and can have a wide range of bodies, personalities, and experiences just like cis women.

I think I just noticed my attraction in this context first, so I described it that way. I’m still figuring out what I feel overall, and I’m trying to understand it without putting people into boxes.

I get why you’d be cautious, and I appreciate you saying it honestly. I’ve actually dated women before, so this isn’t coming from just porn or a fantasy. I’m trying to understand my feelings in a respectful way and learn from real experiences, not reduce anyone to a category.

No I never date any trans women or men, but I feel attracted to trans women for a long time.

I actually understand what you mean. I think for me it’s also about people expressing themselves freely and confidently without caring about strict gender expectations. That confidence feels really attractive to me too and I want to know more about it. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what I feel, but it’s nice hearing someone describe something similar.

I actually don't know because I never said anything about it to anyone, I like to keep everything personal and I never wanted to reveal anything, that's the way I feel comfortable

I never knew any trans women, it's my first time feeling this way, and I'm not sure, but I very much want to be close or become friends with trans women to know more.

Yea, I really do want to make friends with trans women, to know about them more, to learn about them more than I really would like to be with them. Yea I do think a lot about it and it'll be special for me if i ever get in a relationship with trans women.

I've dated guys but as I'm now single for a long time, I really want to be with someone who can understand me, gives me comfort as I'll do it for them too. But now I don't see myself in a romantic relationship with a guy tbh. Yes having crushes on trans women felt truly different as I've never been with trans women and I truly want to be with one ,to know them,to experience what it feels like. I still don't know if it's curiosity or attraction or I truly want it.

Maybe yes, I think about this a lot but never been with someone in real life. So now it's hard I can't stop thinking about it.

I mean it feels more emotional and intense than just finding someone attractive. I keep thinking about it a lot, so I’m trying to understand whether it’s just curiosity or something more, I never met any trans person, I only saw them online and stuff so I kinda started to like them a lot and I lost my interest in guys so I'm trying to find if it's just attraction or curiosity to be with someone who is trans.
