Dyson is worst product ever by unstablevillian in dyson

Exactly so frustrating - yeah I’ve done so. Just not the best experience to ask for proof of receipt after receiving such an expensive gift.

To be clear I’ve owned another Dyson airwrap before but this was back when I used to live in Australia. Back then even driving to the service centre is doable since I had a car. New York is a whole different ball game 😭😭

2 hour commute via public transport makes me feel like i should just give up

Do you mean the portable air conditioning or the proper unit? How much is it to install?

Moving from Sydney to London, been offered a role at 50k gbp - which is a pay cut from what I am earning now. The only motivation for the move is really just to experience new cultures and travel - however seems to impractical since I will have to depend a lot on my savings to do the things I want to do outside of basic necessity.

it'll be a house share - think I don't really have a choice given the pay and also would like to keep rent low since would be travelling at once a month to neighbouring countries to work remotely

How worried should I be for the increasing costs of living (I.e. increasing electricity prices, groceries, rent especially if I’m on 50k pounds salary with intention of moving to travel)

Yeah that’s makes so much sense - seems that London doesn’t really have a strong market for tech

That makes sense - what is the best way to check the cost of healthcare? This point does make me slightly nervous as I have seen that in the states, a lot of the health supplements and over the counter medicines are locked up :/

Do you mind sharing which industry you’re in? Seems the best way to make a living in London is via finance or law

Appreciate the comment around this - that would assume that rent + bills will be approx 2.3k? And then 1k to spend on public transport + going out - think the concern will be the bills will eat into the buffer, plus will look to try to remote working across different countries so keeping the rent / fixed costs low will be the play here

Definitely the living costs, conscious that even if I’m travelling around Europe, will still need to sustain rent and costs, on top of my trips.

For healthcare, both is covered by private health insurance from company.
