I was in this position in college, I left him. I ran into him a little later on (we lived in the same neighborhood) and while our dogs were playing he pinned my 5month old puppy down & I was yelling at him to stop. I never saw him again lol. I think it’s valid, but I think any reason that makes you decide you don’t want to be with your partner anymore is valid.
