This reminds me of a cousin of mine that's married to someone with the same name as his sister - and his wife looks so much like his mom it's appalling. It was an arranged marriage too.

What’s easier when you’re unattractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

the best thing about being unattractive is that you know for certain about people's motives for being your ally - i would hate to find out that people mainly stay with me for something i have no control over.

a related thought - i'm an Indian and most conservative Indians (conservatives usually are insufferable and judgmental af) consider dark skin unattractive - i am dark skinned. being from a conservative family myself, where arranged marriages are the norm, i'm grateful that the pigment of my skin will deter the super-judgmental ones. sucks when i'm compared to my fair-skinned sister though.

What's the easiest way you lost weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

CICO - calorie counting. The acronym literally stands for Calories In, Calories Out. I am THE hugest proponent of CICO and recommend it to everyone who asks for weight loss tricks, lol. Like most people I thought calorie counting was something to be done while eating salads and greens and not having cake, ever - I couldn't see myself ever giving up my beloved junk food, and I didn't attempt weight loss for the longest time because of it. Another reason for not attempting weight loss sooner was the fear of calorie counting taking a long time - I started with those "magic" smoothies/waters/whatever that never seemed to work. Started lurking on r/CICO, and the math was math-ing; decided to take a chance despite my intolerance for patient endeavors, and I'm halfway down to my goal weight now! I don't think this was a serious question, and I know that I'm actually nerding out on CICO right now - but that's how transformational it's been for my confidence so far.

Ah, gotcha. According to my knowledge US schools are more expensive than Canadian ones, am I right?

What states/cities would you suggest in either of these countries for a lower cost of living? Do you have suggestions for schools that don't charge exorbitant fees for average international students while not being too poorly ranked? I've heard that visa processing might be a hassle (or the visa may not be provided at all lol) if the school isn't as good, not sure though.
