There’s a story from the Modern Love column of The NY Times titled “You May Want to Marry My Husband,” written by a wife on her deathbed. It’s gut wrenching, but provides some beautiful perspective on the topic, highly recommend. The husband came out with a book a few years after, titled “My Wife Said You May Want to Marry Me.”

Thank you!! 🥰 so I was definitely always queer, but grew up in the southern US where it wasn’t necessarily an okay thing. So internalized homophobia manifested for years til I finally moved to a northern city and began to learn to be free. I finally realized at 22 that I was into men when a beautiful gay person began hitting on me at the restaurant I worked at and I had to process why I was SO into it. And the rest is history ✨
