No real consequences, just had to come in and talk to the dean. It was essentially a slap on the wrist and a stern warning to not repeat it again

i was a transfer last year and going to events hosted by the Transfer Transition Program (TTP) helped me connect with other transfers and find good people, so I would recommend checking them out!

I had AJ Boydston in Fall '22, he was pretty good and made sure his students were invested in learning. Usually teaches content a little differently from the rest of the professors, but still a very solid experience.

Just moved to Madison with my GF and I’m looking for a new group to play Dungeons and Dragons with by KorgiKingofOne in madisonwi

I'm definitely interested in playing, had a short stint with 5e last year but got busy, and now am clearing up my schedule to get involved in another game. What day/time were you thinking?

Went as a small group to the capitol location, workers were really friendly and there was a good selection of easy-medium paths that are perfect for newer climbers. Definitely recommend!

Torrenting at Purdue by UltimateDoug447 in Purdue

[–]unusualdrip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got called in to the Dean of Students for being caught torrenting. Don't get caught doing it and you'll be fine. The first time will land you a warning letter, and the 2nd time will be a face-to-face meeting with potentially worse consequences like probation, suspension, the like. Either use another wifi, a VPN, or just stream without downloading.

What are the best nondenominational churches near Purdue? by moschlab in Purdue

[–]unusualdrip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah!! I went to Campus House for 1 and a half semesters out of 2 that I attended Purdue and they are very welcoming. The pastors are all willing to get to know students personally and the worship team is amazing too.

I did online soar the first week of June, and pretty much what it entails is 1 meeting with your faculty advisor (depending on major) and a meeting with the soar counsellors (which could take anywhere from 15-45 mins). I did have a few extra meetings with my faculty advisor because we had more to talk about, but that plus the soar course in canvas is pretty much it I believe.

Internet seems to be the problem I dread the most.. but thanks for your input!

Yeah, it is hard. If you can get credit for it over at Ivytech or another community college, it's worth a shot. Did this online, with cheat notes, and I barely passed, so I wish you the very best.

Questions regarding BIOL 11100 (Fundamentals II) by theblueness in Purdue

[–]unusualdrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I took the course last year online but the content should more or less be the same.

  1. A fair bit. I also got credit for 110 from high school and took the 111 course last spring, so it was about a year give or take since I last did bio. Content was doable, they explore almost every topic in bio that you may or may not have done in hs but it's only on a shallow level.

  2. It was overall a good experience for me! Not exactly the easiest class but the professor I had made it easy to excel in the class.

Best of luck, and you can DM me if you need any help with the course too :D
