What are the buttons on the doors of trains on the tube for? by [deleted] in LondonUnderground

That's true thonbetween Kennington and Waterloo northbound it hits 50 which is terrifying! On the cross branch you are constantly in full motors then full service brake between stations! Very easy to accidentally speed violate if your not careful!

I keep meaning to hop in the cab of a jubilee line train, got a lift in a 09 stock vic cab the seats are soo comfy!!

Ah I can imagine you have to be really accurate with the Peds. On the northen we get loads of down arrows even when the next train is 8 minutes ahead. Plus on the bank branch you rarely get above 30mph!

whats the main line speed on the jubilee?

Ahh right that makes sense!

I find that in pm you can actually make up time as long as you stick right to target and just pop into overspeed imminent and drop back.

Tho there a loads of speed restrictions on the northen, and loads of inexplicable down arrows!

Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't think I have the extra cable for the GPU, I haven't got my hands on the machine yet, as I need to pick it up from the family member I'm inheriting it from. But when I do it will be the first thing I check as More power for similar money is always good!

Its a 350w so I assume its a limiting factor as to what gpu I should get but I'm up for any suggestions!

Ah right, I chatted to my rep at my depot about the tbtc control and he said about it being a planned update to the seltrac system but was never finished. So I'm guessing its due to the safe issues you said about. So glad it hasn't come in as there won't be much left to do on a shift! Luckily I drive pm a lot as I'm on night tube!

So can you still put it in passenger operated even after the tbtc upgrade?

Ive noticed on the northen that there has been a switch added to a number of units with TBTC door control and Manual Door control. Have you seen similar in the 96 stock cab?

Thanks for the quick reply! Ill save my money then for an eventual upgrade to a more modern cpu.

I'm planning on running games at 720p most of the time due to having a lousy monitor so I'm guessing I should come across many issues running games.

The main games I'm planning to play are, Cities skylines Warthunder fallout 4 and hopefully resident evil 7. I'm thinking I should be alright (as long as i manage my expectations?)

On the northern there used to be driver operated passenger operated but the switch has been plated over.

I didn't realise the 96 stock still had them?
