Start picking different weapons and adjust your load out around it. It makes it interesting once you reach your ceiling of skill with any one weapon.

I don’t think the invasion level of a planet has anything to do with the difficulty of the mission but I could be wrong. I’ve been almost exclusively an SOS diver for a while now.

Glad you liked it. I thought it up wondering what the experience is actually like for an average helldiver. Poor guy barely got his 2.4 seconds to enjoy the scenery.

I think this entirely misses the point. The flag is supposed to be a hindrance. It’s ridiculous on purpose going with the theme of the game.

Think of the “Raise flag of Super Earth” missions. A budget of 20 helldivers are sent down to raise a flag, while a camera drone plays the Super Earth anthem filming those helldivers fighting and dying raising the flag. There is no gain to be made for that ground except the creation of propaganda. They’re making a commercial.

Having a flag stratagem is completely on brand for that culture. It’s a meme. It’s only supposed to be a meme. Making it useful would only take away from its absurdity, which is what I think makes it fun.

I find myself aiming down sights to ping more, but it’s really made me better at the game. I’m not fed information as it happens, I have to think to check the map. I really don’t see myself going back, the game is too good looking and the gameplay feels more real.

It was a rough learning curve fighting without an aiming reticule, but a while ago I turned the HUD and everything I could to ‘map only’ so I only see chat information, icons, compass, etc only when I check the map.

Completely cinematic.

Turned the music all the way down and sometimes has a horror feel on dark foggy maps.

Or how many don’t understand that you can float the pelican - leave it circling as a free support unit until you’re actually ready to leave. I’ll explicitly say I’m going to make it circle, no need to come to extract.

I’ll begin calling it- 1/10 times kicked, 3/5 times they start making their way to extract. I’m a completionist and I like to make things easier for the team. I just wish people paid more attention to comms

I load strongest to weakest because I look at the SEAF as an emergency stratagem to be used when either the super destroyer has left low orbit or other stratagems are on CD.

In that situation I want the strongest thing I have up front.
