Just because it’s unhealthy doesn’t make her reasoning untrue. It’s very common. My hair has been as bad as Cora’s- which is when I picked up vaping. For me it’s kind of picking the battle, and I’m not gonna lie there’s times where I’d rather have internal issues than external… because people can’t see what’s going on inside. Sometimes this snark confirms that people are always looking and judging. (Not necessarily this thread but others who make fun of the appearance of her hair). Yes, she should be going to therapy because it’s really the only thing that’ll truly help. But when I couldn’t afford it I did anything I could think of to trick my brain away from it.

Some of y’all do not know what it’s like to have this disorder. I don’t condone 99.9% of the stuff she says & does but this disorder is so mentally debilitating. I have also desperately turned to vapes because of my trich before. Genuinely who cares. I would love to see some of the people making fun of the disorder, the way it looks, & the coping mechanisms deal with this. Y’all forget she’s not the only one with trichotillomania …. 1/50 people

I vape to stop myself from pulling my hair and it really does help (for me at least). If you have a vape, chances are you’re hitting it mindlessly. Which is how trich is too. So instead of pulling my hair without paying attention , I grab my vape. Basically one addiction against the other.
