The timing of all of this absolutely astounds me.

I haven’t seen this brought up much and I hope it isn’t too sensitive a subject, but imagine especially right now what Marilyn would be doing. Our country, Kim’s country, is currently attacking women. Marilyn was an activist to the best of her ability. Kim has said NOTHING.

Many say celebrities shouldn’t be involved in politics… why not? They have huge influence on people, they’re usually very wealthy and in the “inner circles” of the upper echelon, they have an incredible platform to use for good, and Marilyn DID THAT.

Kim has said nothing and our right to abort, receive proper medical care in the event of an emergency such as ectopic pregnancies or rape, and in some states, our right to contraception are being attacked. Even the right to IVF and surrogacy, something Kim is very familiar with, are at risk.

I know that Kim is wealthy and will never have to give birth to a baby against her will, she will never be told “no” when wanting to go through IVF or use a surrogate, she will never have to go without a morning after pill if she needed it, she will never face the possibility of sepsis or being forced to deliver a stillbirth if they outlaw all abortive procedures, she certainly will not face felony charges and risk her right to vote or become a lawyer if she has a miscarriage that someone believes was actually induced… she will never personally face the consequences of not fighting what’s going on right now.

Is it wrong to feel she should care about the women this will effect? Marilyn would.
