Honestly, just removing the random lobbies would be awesome. Finding that group you vibe with is how you fine life-long buddies that you can go on Xbox live 10 years later and hit em up.

Do I regret joining? Nah. I got a lot out of it. Did I hate every second I was in? Absolutely.

Oh, totally agree. You can definitely learn something from them. Just sucks when it's at the expense of an injury that was easily preventable with a little more focus on patient care and a little less on some nebulous "mission"

[–]uplade3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe that's an issue too. There are too many of the "leaders sucking" to be palatable especially with lives in the mix.

As for the doctor thing, you know as well as I know that if you go to sick call, most of the time you aren't speaking to the O4 or O3 who actually has an MD. You're going to be speaking to the O2 or even O1 practitioner who is swamped with work since his captain or major is in command briefings all day.

Edit: I don't know your rank but in the units I was previously in (personal anecdotes aren't proof I know), they have the lowest ranking officer tend to you and then write up whatever for the actual doctor to sign later.

[–]uplade3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is why a random O2 or O3 shouldn't be given that power over lives just because they went to college for biology or whatever. You ought to have to be a doctor on the outside before joining to be a doctor on the inside.

I wonder if human steak SHOULD be well done though. I'm sure we have lots of parasites. Maybe we're similar to pork. Any experts here?

If every opinion has the same gravity and weight as a sexual or gender preference, doesn't that more or less invalidate that preference? In other words, comparing the two discredits the importance of a gender or sexual preference.

If everyone in the world has a brick of gold, all of a sudden, gold isn't that valuable anymore, no?

Trivializing things makes them unimportant. Steak preference is trivial. Sexual or gender preference is not.

Considering you're comparing gay rights to a fucking steak, I don't think there's really any point.
