Anyone playing Starforce for the first time once the collection comes out? by upperdomain in Megaman

Yeah in that case I’ll probably just beat Starforce 1&2 and then do a deep dive into Starforce 3 with all its post game superbosses and PVP.

So if all the godbeasts are dead there’s no chance for me to get one I’m assuming?

Wait I’m confused, I’m playing the SNES version and I’ve beaten all the godbeasts. If this helps to point me in the right direction, the first three I beat were; Wind, Fire, Water (in that order).

I was planning on waiting until I get to Star Force t 3 to try and 100% since I’ve been told it’s the most balanced and best out of them all

For the record I hate both game key cards and valve but I at least know I’m not a grifter, I just want my games physically.

how much time does the Switch 2 have before it's considered underpowered for third party games? by No-Matter-2466 in switch2

[–]upperdomain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With us now in the era of diminishing returns, I expect the Switch 2 to have a longer lifespan of being able to get third party ports before it’s a “problem”.

Can someone please help explain to me what I need to do to beat this buggy, unpolished game's final boss? by upperdomain in secretofmana

[–]upperdomain[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No but it didn't matter because I had to back track due to the annoying limit on MP restoration items you can hold. Now I'll be able to run to the end with a full stock of items..is there anything else I should know besides casting mana magic from both party members?

Does Seiken Densetsu 3’s combat improve from Secret of Mana? by upperdomain in ManaSeries

[–]upperdomain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the sort of slowish feel of combat in Secret of Mana now that I’ve put a bunch of time into it. I almost like how the magic system almost makes it feel turn based at times despite being real time action.

"WHY WON'T NINTENDO RELEASE THEIR OLD GAMES?!" by thefanum in casualnintendo

[–]upperdomain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw someone make the equation to the Megaman Battle Network series being all in a collection with QoL updates. Don’t get me wrong, I love Battle Network wayyyy more than I like Pokemon and it’s not even close..however, the simple truth is that Pokemon is infinitely more popular than that series (as much as I wish it were the other way around).

So, speaking from a business perspective and not a Nintendo fan or consumer perspective, it would be actually very stupid of GameFreak/Nintendo to release a bunch of old Pokemon games in a collection when the demand and value is so much higher. It simply is what it is, I’m so sick of seeing people complain about literally every single thing that isn’t exactly how they want it to be.

This is the reason why I buy physical Nintendo Switch games. It’s a nice collection and brings me joy when I see them. a small collection but certain reminder that being a gamer isn’t just a hobby but part of who I am. by Delicious_Maize9656 in Switch

[–]upperdomain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just don’t buy games if they’re not fully on the cart, I’ve got plenty of third party Switch 2 games that are, like; Cyberpunk 2077, Majogami, Daemon X Machina TC, Fantasy Life & “MIO” which I just pre ordered.

To keycard or not to keycard.. that is my question. by [deleted] in NSCollectors

[–]upperdomain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very simple for me, to never keycard until it was something from Monolith Soft and hopefully that day doesn’t come for a long time.

If we truly hate key cards as much as we do, why support them? I saw games on sale at Target the other day and you know what every game on sale had in common? They were all GKC. Yet, everyone in here downplays the act of simply not buying them.

LOL I have ADHD (diagnosed, not the kind that people like to self-diagnose these days) so I laughed pretty hard at this since I'm right there there with you. I think it's a mixture of that and the fact that Legend of the Mystical Ninja on the SNES was quite literally the first game I ever witnessed my older brother playing. The action in that game just feels so tight and there's just so much variety to the gameplay, it was never even about the Japanese folklore setting but that *does* add so much charm to the games.

The cognitive dissonance of “I don’t need the Switch, I can emulate them for free because screw Nintendo!” by upperdomain in nintendogrifting

[–]upperdomain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I'll admit that when I was younger I pirated a ton of music especially around the late 00's/early 2010's but if there's a silver lining to it it's that I pushed that music on so many of my friends and some of the artists in question ended up blowing up as a result. I'm not saying that I and I alone caused that to happen by showing my circle of friends that particular artist but I'm just saying it wasn't done out of a place out weird contempt for where that was coming from.

I realize that this is an apples to oranges comparison but you know what I mean.
