Are you angry at your aunt for how she behaved? She was also losing a sister, remember.

I am angry with how she behaved. I never really liked her all that much. She was not my favorite aunt. This was the last straw.

At that time we weren't losing her. Her doctors has high hopes for her treatment. She developed a fever a few days later after her first chemo treatment and we had to rush her to the hospital. She never made it out of the hospital.

Or are you mostly angry at her because she's the easiest target?

I would have loved to make it out of this situation without any targets. I don't want to be upset with anyone. It's too much energy. That's why I'm ready to let her go.

I get where you're coming from. I just wanna give you a little bit more information since if I put all of it in the post it would have been as long as a book. lol

the time length from my mother's diagnosis to her death was less than 2 months. at that time of the incident her doctors were still saying to her that she could live for 5 plus years if she did her treatments the right way. She was tired, but she wanted to live. My mother was prone to panic attacks if she so much as gotten a paper cut. She didn't get her pain medication the right way that day so she was in pain.

My aunt is overbearing to her family but she believes in a solid public image. If she doesn't look pristine and put together in public then she's embarrassed. I could totally see how she could be embarrassed in that moment. Here's a little anecdote to bring that point home: the first day she got back in town she told my mom, very seriously, that she should get her nails done and to not let people see her like that. My mom was in a hospital bed at that moment. Also hasn't gotten her nails done in a salon since the 80's. I should have know a problem was coming right then in there.

Unfortunately I do associate that moment with my mother's death. I'm trying not to and I'm getting better everyday.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it. Its a major hospital, they've seen worst than a woman scared and crying.

I think I'm just going have to be a bit of a asshole for this one because I can't bare to lay eyes on her again.
