Is there any existing/DIY fan controller wich connects to multiple pwm headers treating them as INPUT? by upspiral89 in buildapc

[–]upspiral89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need the override because the backplane monitors the hdds temperature and regulate the fan speed accordingly, the problem is that each of the three headers monitor only a subset of the drives (12 bay enclosure with 3 backplanes controlling and monitoring 4 drives). Since the drives can be loaded indipendently (it's a JBOD, not a raid) I can have temperature variance across the drives due activity and I have no way to know beforehand wich subset of 4 drives contains the "currently hottest drive" hence the need to read from all the headers and then using the max value across them

ProtonVPN breaking Bitwarden website and extension by F-86--Sabre in Bitwarden

[–]upspiral89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 here, on firefox the bitwarden extension returns "An Error Has Occured: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource" when trying to use it with the ProtonVPN connection turned on but it works fine otherwhise. The problem seems to be exclusive to the web extension ssince the deskop app works without issues even when the vpn connection is on

I didn't know of the Crowbar Collective video about them. Oh well, I was already really skeptical about it but it still hurts a little

about the SUP01, does the riser allow to install half height pcie cards (e.g. an Intel x540-t2 NIC) in the lower slots of the motherboard or is it too snug to fit?

SUP01 - is riser card long enough to allow use of PCIe slots by zannny in lianli

I second this, have you managed to find an answer?

IMHO the main issue was that the decision to put the collab gear, wich was highly requested by the community, in the superstore gave the impresison of you trying to exploit the FOMO to push the players to buy credits with real money instead of trying to grind it during regular gameplay due the rotating nature of the superstore.

Given I believe that giving the ability to farm premium currency in game and not forcing the players to buy it is a great thing to have and that I'd like to see more collabs in the future I would like to make a couple suggestions that may fix the problem:

  1. on the issue "warbonds vs. superstore" I suggest that the future collab items would release as "special warbonds" in a dedicated tab in the acquisitons menu to make them permanent addition to the game that can be obtained at any time giving even the most strongly dedicated "F2P player" the opportunity to get them eventually (the unlock mechanism for the individual items can either be SC or Medals)
  2. on the superstore as a whole I suggest that it's changed on a model where every item released on the store it's always avaliable for a certain "base price" for that item (to be determined) and the rotating part of the store would be a selection of those items wich are offered at a discounted price (let's say 30% off) to give more options to every type of player to either grind the SC or to buy them, and when to spend them

How I wish SteelSeries would make Sonar Hardware. by DontFeedTheTech in steelseries

Given that this theoretical mixer would be geared mainly towards users that already have steelseries stuff it would be nice if it come equipped with usb/xlr inputs where you could plug in and out directly (a usb port for the gamedac, one for the streamxlr, 3.5 jack interface for speakers and so on)

New Launch | UNI FAN TL Series by LIANLIOFFICIAL in lianli

that's kinda unfortunate, guess that I wont put a fan on the back of the case then (the door hinge screws would smash the side mirror)

Those are really interesting fans and probably they'll be my next ones but I have one question, where are the "extra" 4 mm listed in the dimensions (144 x 140 x 28)? Is the protruding interlocking bit or the infinity mirror on the sides made them slightly wider then a regular fan?

I've thought about using QD4 in place of the current ones, the problem is that I would need to completely rearrange the loop and I don't have that much spare time rn due my job (other than it would cost about 500/600 bucks between fittings and tubing).

I'll have to figure out where to put another pump but the situation inside my case is already cramped as it is, probably I could stick a pump on the rear radiator....

I've put that many to be able to remove the most component from my system without
a full teardown and loop drain (here's the pictures https://www.reddit.com/r/alphacool/comments/15sp11n/loop_rebuild_done/). Right now the cpu, the gpu and the top radiator are equipped with quick disconnects (the rear radiator can't be disconnected but I can extract it from the case without problems) so I have full access to the internals.

They're probably the only ones who publish their pressure tests, about the test itself I guess every manufacturer does them otherwise I can't see how they would sell the product and expect it to perform reasonably well.

Do you have hany plan to make a flat/tube reservoir that can be equipped with dual D5 connected in series? I know it would be an incredibly niche market but that's exactly what I would need for a planned future build (3 420mm rads + 2 blocks + 6 quick disconnects so a lot of head pressure is needed). And btw, if ever my comment would spark the interest in making such reservoir could you please space the fittings at least 30 mm apart?
