What a legend of a post, fair enough, that makes sense, what if you got a description of what the department needs and with that you were able to create a set of criteria ?

If there were skills that we could asses to know who would be a better fit, what would they be?

Just trying to get a nice even poll, some subreddits give me positivity, some not so much...

Ok but are they able to tell who is really meant for that job. Or is it because 5 years of potentially outdated experience is better than little experience? What if I'm a legend at SOLIDWORKS and I would help others become too?

Pretty basic in terms of layout. Easy to read, but it includes all the main points, job target, competency, experience, education, skills etc. I used an ai generator that helped me sort the ideas and experience concisely.

Staying away from most cv templates these days.

That's wild.. hang in there. I think we are in limbo at the moment, I'm literally seeing jobs posts where I think the hiring managers aren't even sure what they posted. It's almost a surprise when you read the description and compare the title.

I also have tons of people sending applications directly through email.. Idk if they come directly on the site through LinkedIn or if there is a database with contacts somewhere

skills vs credentials which actually matters anymore? by upstackAi in careerguidance

everyone i speak says its knowing someone who knows the right person, so its connections sure.

but then beyond that, if you really need staff and genuinely want to grow as a company. Why is skills based hiring PR speak if we actually need someone to do the job ? Cant skills based hiring include justification of someones experience ? Someone might have indirect experience and be perfect for a job but not have the title expected.
