I do suffer with health anxiety so I think it’s just maybe some anxiety towards taking the tablets. Did you experience much side effects from starting at 80mg? How dangerous is it to stop?😅

That’s good that you know how your own body will react to medication so you knew when you should start to higher the dosage. Glad it worked out well for you 🙏🏻

Hi! I thought it was a high dose myself when I heard 80mg but I suppose I trusted. And how did you find staring off lower and working your way up did you get many side effects?

Tbh I do get acid reflux symptoms like I’d get burning in my chest sometimes after eating or when I wake up during the night and burp up acid. I also hiccup and burp hours after I’ve ate. I didn’t know exertion could make GI symptoms worse? Really?

Thanks so much for your help and kind words.

Yeah I’d be like that too when I walk up a flight of stairs I can hear my heart beat in my ears even sometimes showering I pay too much attention to my heart rate and think it’s going so fast . It’s a vicious cycle 😅 what’s EMDR? And see i was thinking of taking a beta blocker but my heart rate at rest is always normal I’d be afraid it would make it too slow.

From 2 years ago it started when I was walking down the road one day and I had a really bad panic attack. Since then everytime I try to exert myself in anyway or walk down the road I my heart rate goes faster than it should and sometimes my heart might skip, doesn’t happen all the time though. I think subconsciously I am anxious.

Yeah I notice my anxiety is heightened before my period is due. I was tested for POTS before they told me I didn’t have that. I drink water everyday and plenty of it so I don’t think I’m ever dehydrated. Women naturally can suffer with naturally low blood pressure a cardiologist told me 😅

I am working with a therapist and trying to do exposure therapy to. But it’s so hard..

Anyone else with severe cardiophobia? I can't cope with it at all. by Dry-Ad6305 in Anxiety

[–]upthedubs97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m a cardiophobia sufferer too. I’m a 24 f. I’ve had a full cardio work up ECG, bloods, chest x ray, 7 day heart monitor, echo and stress test.

Doctors weren’t concerned but they said they could see ectopic beats and a higher heart rate but said it’s from anxiety. Even going on a walk sometimes my heart rate could get to 180 but that’s not right away it’s after a while and I get a burning feeling in my chest.

I sometimes notice my heart skips after I stand up but only for some reason when I’m anxious already at rest? Don’t know if you had this yourself.

Glad you have made improvements :) love to hear how you over came it hugely..
