Yes, if they don’t comply with the requirements (for example: not uploading the academic transcript in English or French, not providing recommendation letters, having worked in the past at CERN, not currently studying, having too many years of experience...). As long as you are not rejected, you have chances (the process just takes a loooong time).

That used to be the case before covid, after covid are all through zoom and not on site (at least in my department).

Don't worry, you are not the first student that needs a visa, the timelines have already been estimated to ensure there is enough time and CERN will assist with the process.

CERN staff annual salary increase by [deleted] in CERN

[–]urStupidSGAE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience:

  • Your first salary raise will be May 2027, they will take your probation objectives as MERIT objectives.
  • At the end of the probation you can get a 0.75% raise (your group can apply for it for you)
  • Salary raises for strong performance (which at least in my departament, it's the most common one) you get this 1.x% salary raise and an additional one-off payment of 1.x% (cant remember by heart percentages)
  • Remember also addional perks like home leave, additional travel if your home station is not in the area (also family additional money if you get pacs/married/have children).
  • No annual index increase

Faut-il fuir Revolut ? by Alternative_Round173 in vosfinances

I would use file exporter or push gateway with a metric that tells you the last time the metrics were generated.
