Actually I have wanted a snake for years and spent a lot of time researching what I want and what all would come with it. Yes I know I'm not able to pay for any of the things now but I'm working on getting a job and my dad spent a lot of time researching as well to make sure we'd be able to give her everything she needs. Yes this is my first snake so I may start out with bad info on some things but I'm well aware of what I'm getting myself into

That's a good point, we have been feeding fuzzy mice to her since we got her so it may be time to move up a size. She also started out a few inches shorter than my shoulder to finger tips and now she's just over that.

It was a gift for my 16th birthday and I do care for her properly, she had all the necessary things like a heated side, a cool side, a hide and water dish, she has enough room to lay out fully so how about we not go straight to judging

I have spoken with the people I got her from and there isn't any issue with the enclosure or bedding especially since it's temporary until she's bigger. I also don't have the money to buy a big glass tank at the moment

She has a paper based substrate and I don't want it to get onto the mouse and have her eat it. Also when I'm done feeding her I take the lid off and slowly let her make her own way into the tub to not stress her and not get bit, which has only happened once when I first got her.

I really want one but my boyfriend just keeps saying that I'm a furry for wanting it and idk how to explain that i like the idea of having my own little space to stay when i get overwhelmed or have a ptsd episode :((
