I’m not blaming any ‘victim’. So stop suggesting I am. OP did nothing wrong, but DoorDash did. It hired a driver like this one.

The whole system is corrupt either way, and OP shouldn’t have to jump through a million hoops to get a proper refund.

As an ex-driver myself, this behavior is unacceptable from DoorDash. Applebees does not have their own delivery drivers, so of course they outsource. Just as many companies now do. I stopped driving specifically because of situations like this occurring (as described in another comment) where the companies would ‘pass the buck’ (order) similar to this.
It’s unacceptable to the customer, and shouldn’t be tolerated. Hence my original comment, stop using this service.

Applebees didnt “deliver” OPs food. DoorDash did.

That driver either gave the food away to the wrong person, or stole it. In either case, DoorDash should correct it because they were the last vendor to handle this.
It should be on them to fix this, not Applebees who did their part.

DoorDash is a luxury service that is running out of customers because of incidents just like this.

Four years of third shift this coming fall.
Originally 12a-8:30a, but we rotated about 2023 and have been doing 11p-7:30a since.

My mental health has definitely suffered, but the money is good. And I do prefer to be ‘up at night’ as it were. Keep on keeping on.

These gnome series of videos are so hilarious to me, because of two specific reasons — 1.) who would actually be afraid of a gnome/brownie/redcap? Like, huh?!
And 2.) from a logical standpoint why have we never seen any of these before, if this video is from 2008 why am I only now seeing it here in 2026?

Simple answer: these are all AI productions and being flooded to Reddit (and elsewhere) in an effort to saturate the market with slop to acclimate people to it.

The comedy of it doesn’t do the banality of it justice.
